The Panthers certainly deserve a lot of respect for what they've done this season. They're an excellent team and I don't begrudge them their success at all. But a part of me doesn't want them to go 16-0 because it....I dont' know, cheapens?....what the Patriots did in '07. While both would be 16-0, they wouldn't be close to equals in my mind. That Pats team absolutely destroyed an insanely difficult schedule. 8 wins against teams that were over .500 and shattered the point differential record, compared to 2 wins for Carolina and 2 for the '72 Dolphins. I feel like that record should belong to a dominant team rather than a good team with a favorable schedule.

Beckham is the biggest douchebag in the game currently. He gets physically manhandled and he turns into a crybaby who can't control himself. Then, he turns it around and does this. I hope someone earholes him across the middle next game and is knocked out.

This is fun! He did the Iverson thing! Why do you all hate fun?

Yeah, well said, and I think everyone agrees and is thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, the way defenses have to play "off" so much now and with the quality of play in the league going down anyways, I wouldn't be shocked to see 16-0 become somewhat common over the next few decades. If you're merely a "very good" team and you're playing so many of these weak, soft teams, you have a real shot at running the table.

We live in a world where Greg Hardy plays football, lets not forget that.

I'm never worried about Pittsburgh. Brady and Bill own them, off the top of my head the only time I remember them losing to Pittsburgh is the Halloween game that broke the streak (which was avenged in January) and the Cassel season.

The Panthers have played an easy schedule but the team with the most wins over teams with winning records so far this year is Denver (they have four and could have five if they beat Pittsburgh) and everybody pretty much thinks they aren't contenders.

The league as a whole is way down - 11 of 32 teams have winning records and two entire divisions (AFC South and NFC East) don't have a single team with a winning record. Two current NFC playoff teams (Minnesota and Washington) haven't beaten one team with a winning record this year - same with the Jets on the AFC East side.

Completely agree. The NFL would be much easier and better to watch without the me first antics of players like beckham and Norman. It takes away from the game and is annoying.
Takes away from the game? It was the best thing about the game! That game was fun as shit! I honestly don't understand why any of you watch football sometimes.

Umm I watch football to watch a football game.

I did not realize that to you, two punks jarring at each other, takin cheap shots and doing dances that make them look like even bigger jackasses = football. Couldn't you just watch some mtv reality tv show and get your fix of idiocy there?

Agreed, I don't blame Carolina or knock them for their schedule. They're an excellent team, like I said and you can't blame them for their schedule. But they are still a product of the very weak league this season, where only about 5 teams are really any good. But I feel like the 16-0 accomplishment is cheapened if they get it. I don't think anyone looks at them and thinks "all time great" team, do they? Again, not their fault and I don't begrudge them going out and beating the teams they play. Maybe this is what people felt like when Maris got the HR record.

Nantz is losing hope that Manning will get to come back. He is very subdued calling this game so far. He normally would be on his 5th Nantzgasm by now especially if Manning ran that one in for a TD.

The '72 Dolphins played a weak schedule at a time when there was less parity (so crappy teams were really crappy).
