The Niners-Cardinals game was the second game in which a kicker injured during a return likely cost a team a game. (Giants-Commanders was the earlier one.) The NFL should allow the team kicking off to have 12 players on the field at the kickoff (one next to the kicker), and have the kicker run off the field after they kick the ball. There is no reason to risk an injury to a specialist by asking them to do something that is outside their normal responsibilities. This is the football equivalent of risking pitchers running the bases.

The NFL wants its kickoff returns, fine. But if you're going to discourage kickers kicking the ball through the end zone on kickoffs, protect them.

Defenders bite so often on those show fakes by Mahomes.

EDIT - And can’t let it go unnoticed that Clark Hunt is a fraud, made a big show of cutting Hunt like 6 years ago….and there he is!

Good thing I can watch a giant Peyton Manning review a play call sheet from a decade ago while trying to watch a tiny little live football game in the corner of the screen.

I think he would have easily thrown a TD if he hadn't done that 360. It was kinda superfluous and he threw as if he were dizzy after.

Does anyone find Aikman's creepy old man laugh after every one of his unfunny comments (and after almost every comment in general) to be incredibly annoying?

More often than not Mahomes seems really risk averse. As soon as his first 2 reads aren't there his eye level falls and he starts ambling towards the sidelines so he can throw it away without an intentional grounding, which he has down to a science

Has anyone being the first to laugh at their own joke, non-ironically, ever worked in any context? I can't think of any situations.
