Where do I get odds against this one?Chiefs are going for the perfect season
Maybe someone would give you -5000Where do I get odds against this one?
They have a stretch that goes Dec 15 @Browns, Dec 21 Texans, Dec 25 @Steelers. If they go undefeated, they will have earned it.Chiefs are going for the perfect season
Sucks Mercury died then.Chiefs are going for the perfect season
Going for it. Yes. Getting it? No. But I’m pretty sure they win the SB again. They win when they don’t have their fastball. Of course this assumes Mahomes stays healthy.Chiefs are going for the perfect season
Well, he's got 9 catches in 5 games. That projects to: 31 catches over a 17-game season. Nice average (16.1) but it's such a small sample hugely influenced by one huge play. Last year he had 29 receptions in 11 games, which projected to 45 receptions.Remember when Bill got killed for signing JSS. I wonder what the problem was last year?
Looking back, Spags was really an excellent hire for them. He's kind of like their Dante. He can make the defense competitive even if the personnel is not elite (that's not to say they don't have good personnel, but he also puts them in good positions to succeed). And he's allowed them to weather some offensive challenges. I still think the team is very beatable, but they will have to be beaten. They are not going to give away games. It really bothers me that KC continues to be so great. Mahomes isn't lighting it up these days (13th in the NFL in scoring at 23.4 ppg), but he's doing enough and the defense has become excellent (6th in the NFL in scoring at 17.0 ppg). Every aspect of that team is run well, and every phase is very good.
I agree. And it seems like they get favorable calls and breaks all the time. I'm 100% sure this is how the rest of the league felt about the Patriots for 20 years, so I can't really complain. But still, now that we're HERE, it bothers me.Looking back, Spags was really an excellent hire for them. He's kind of like their Dante. They’re not a great team. They weren’t last year either. But they’re “great” compared to the rest of the lackluster AFC.It really bothers me that KC continues to be so great. Fanduel has it at +2000 right now.Chiefs are going for the perfect season
This is a fantastic comp. They are now a defensive team with a magical QB who can make just enough plays to steal any game.Looking back, Spags was really an excellent hire for them. And if he doesn't make enough plays, the refs step in on the highest leverage plays. This is a fantastic comp. They are now a defensive team with a magical QB who can make just enough plays to steal any game.
The entire post is bang on, especially the last two sentences. It’s like the Pats under BB. The combination of a QB who you can never kill plus a really smart team / coaching staff makes them extremely difficult to beat.Looking back, Spags was really an excellent hire for them. Yep, in so many ways the Chiefs are now what the Patriots were in the TB/BB era.The entire post is bang on, especially the last two sentences. It’s like the Pats under BB. it’s not like the NFC is boiling over with great teams, that conference is just as lackluster as the AFC unless you think the Sam Darnold Vikings are actually an elite teamThey’re not a great team. They weren’t last year either. But they’re “great” compared to the rest of the lackluster AFC.
