He threw a risky medium depth pass since it's all he had. Are you suggesting he didn't know there was a flag?
Was the flag out yet? Because multiple times this year guys have thought they had a free play and didn't get it (see Fields throwing 2 picks when his coach told him in the headset it was a free play)/
if he knew there was a flag that seems like a not optimal use of a free play. It’s not like he was chucking it deep, at best ir was a medium gain.
Yes? The flag didn’t come out immediately, and it wasn’t an egregious offside. That also isn’t the route you’d generally force a ball to if you think you have a free play.

Yeah the flag was out and it looked like Mahomes looked over at the spot. It was a shitty play call with limited options. But I'm like 98% sure that he knew it was a free play. Irregardless, I think Levy completely ignoring the possibility as he blathered on about what a tough break it was for NY was pretty dumb.
Probably knew the rule and that the game was already over. Why take a hit trying to advance a ball you are not legally permitted to advance?
This Chiefs team really is not very good; which is pretty shocking considering how highly they were rated going into the season and they haven't really lost anyone hugely important to injury (I don't put CEH in that class). Green Bay should be favorites next week at Arrowhead.
If they're not, it's only because the Packers seem to have been underrated all year. Ever since the week 1 bashing by the Saints, all they've done is win.
