Give the ball to players comfortable with handling the ball, it’s way too high leverage a situation
Coaches have to show their "smarts". Why give it to Swift or use Caleb when you can hand off to a lineman who has never taken a handoff?
It's incredibly stupid. I listened to a discussion about the Eagles possibly using Saquon in the "Tush Push" to protect Hurts, and it was dismissed because it would involve Saquon taking a center snap, which is something he never does. When you try to make a player do something he never does, you're putting him in position to fail.
