I always prefer day games in RSJ - if its hot you the other team's D starts to tire.

maybe I’m easy but except for having to watch the Texans who suck. They all look good
Yeah, it’s the playoffs in a season where isn’t a dominant team — sure, we’ll get a bad game or two, but there won’t be any bad matchups on paper.

The Steelers have a ton of issues right now and have really backed into the playoffs.

With that being said, playoff games between divisional opponents always feel like toss ups because of the familiarity.

I guess the logic is that you're giving the Vikings an extra day after the Sunday night game. That said, I wonder if the league also doesn't want that stadium full of the visiting team's fans.

The stadium is apparently nowhere near where the wildfires are going on though. Air Quality could be an issue I guess.
You're also talking about the thousands traveling through wildfire areas to get there, plus the emergency/security personnel required for an NFL game when they're already stretched thin

Meh, the Jets and Giants played full home slates despite being out of control dumpster fires all year.

I think the TV slots are fixed from year to year based on a rotating schedule. I'm sure the NFL will have no problems from allowing whatever Packers fans travel to the Linc and the Eagles fans awaiting them three more hours to tailgate.
The Monday game has always been the NFC 4-5 matchup. I always assumed they did that because all the host cities were set by then (and all the logistics that come with it) and this would cause no disruption to it.

Last year, there were 2 Monday games, Daytime AFC 2/7 and MNF NFC 4/5. This was on MLK day.
2022 season, it was NFC 4/5
2021, it was NFC 4/5
2020 season (January 2021), they had three games each on Saturday & Sunday, with SNF being AFC 3/6.

The AFC game last year was Pittsburgh/Buffalo that had to be postponed because of snow. It wasn't pre-planned.

Last year was an extreme circumstance, though. (Blizzard)

ESPN didn't get the rights to MNF playoffs until the 2021 season.

Houston needs to install a large blackout curtain in the end zone. Maybe they can use Wilfork's suspenders I posted upthread...
