I'm well aware. They don't have to be the late game though. I think it'll look like this:

Sat 430 HOU-KC
Sat 815 Non-MIN/LAR NFC game
Sun 3 MIN/LAR game
Sun 640 BAL-BUF
Agreed. Giving the one seed a Saturday game also gives them eight days off before the championship game. I feel like the league tries to do that when possible.

Brady has been pretty good so far.
I like listening to him talk about stuff. His announcer-demeanor is sometimes a little cringe, but who cares when a guy who knows this much and has done so much is sharing what he knows - and not just about QB play.

As a Packer fan, It looked promising after last season but at this point Jordan Love doesn’t do it for me. I think his confidence is fragile.

Regarding this matchup specifically, IMO the Pack blew it last week phoning it in against the Bears. They could have been playing an easier opponent than Philly. Would have been nice to have a shot at 2 playoff games to get the experience. This is a one and done.

Eagles OL and Barkley are so good. Love the good rushing games we have in the NFL now.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the game is going to be competitive.

Even if Love were playing better, beating this running game on the road in January is a big ask.

The Packers are obviously a good team, but it's looking like 7 seeds will move to 1-9 against 2 seeds and very few of them were close. Shit, no AFC road team has won on the road WC weekend since 2020 and in front of a full stadium since the 2019 Titans.

Philly only up 10 in this is a big deal for GB. Hopefully, Love can give them a good drive and make this interesting. Was banking on this one being a good one.

Denver just isn’t that good of a team. Their best win of the year was against the Bucs in late September. Credit to them for winning 10 with a rookie QB, but it’s not surprise they’re not a threat to win this.
was 13-7 with 5 min left in 3rd defense just wore down buff will lose next week i can easy see a balt philly sb
also looking at den sch next year they have 9 games they will be fav in Vegas 2X Dal NYG at home GB at home jax tenn at home @ nyj Ciny or @ indy
8 games they will be the underdog KC 2X LAC 2X @ PHILLY @ WASH @ HOU and Ciny at home

I'm not sure I buy that KC/Houston is automatically the early Saturday game. The Chiefs are the champs and have a national following. Seems like a bigger draw, regardless of the opponent

these games all suck

when is the last time we had a good competitive slate of wild card weekend games, like a decade ago? I hate having half the league in the playoffs.

Also it's fucked up I can't google 'best wildcard weekends nfl' and get a single result that isn't related to gambling, even putting in -bet -gambling

In 22-23, all six WC games were one-score differences

Great explanation of the penalty, KB!

/looks around uncertainly

Also, that wide shot that included Pereira sitting down, almost deliberately avoiding the camera of interacting with Brady, was….a choice.
