Have to wonder if the Rangers put themselves in an awkward spot with their good play lately. Trading away Kreider while 4 points out of playoff spot would've been difficult to sell, and it seems like Kreider's agent knew how to leverage that well. They've got a better goal differential than both the Islanders and the Blue Jackets who are both ahead of them in the standings, so they've got a good shot. Still, seems like a decision that has a high potential for regret years in the future...
