Guess anything can happen, but no way the Isles pick in the top three of this year’s draft.

(Eh, on second thought maybe they could fall into the lottery.)

The extension for Kreider is such a mistake.

Commie also saying Jumbo is on his way back. I have no idea how that makes sense, but I'm here for it.

Okay, good. I don't watch as much NHL as some of you guys and gals, but that contract seemed absurd. Kreider can play, but is he one of the best 20 wings in the game? That's a top 75 player in the game contract.

On the Simmonds to the Sabres, the narrative in Buffalo is that the team is soft and the effort is inconsistent. Only Eichel is seen as playing consistently. I think adding Simmonds, and the Devils paying half his salary, is intended to add grit and effort.

Kreider is a really good player and the AAV is fine but its until his age 36 season, he plays a game that doesn't age well and he's not a core player ont he next great Rangers team. They are enamored with their recent run but they just arent that good of a team and they have a top of the heap prospect pool. Seems silly to give up on the haul from the most valuable player of the deadline.
