It's a good story, but who knows how close it really was.  But what it points out is how rapidly deGrom has exploded onto the scene.  He wasn't the highly touted prospect that Harvey, Wheeler, and Thor were.

Considering i had a front row seat to 1972, 1974, 1978, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1999 and 2003, I'm beyond thrilled with 2004.

Today has been what October baseball is all about; extra inning game, a come from behind Royals win, a great pitchers duel in St Louis and another great pitchers duel in Los Angeles to cap it all off.

Hell there are a ton of fat guys who look like they have no business drawing a paycheck as a pro athlete.  Tyler has a face that doesn't fit.   I'm not sold on Clay B. either (LOL).   I've had a ton of arguments with co-workers about golfers being considered athletes.
