New York and Los Angeles are very far away from each other. Entirely possible that secret is only known on the East Coast.

I get that you don't want to embarrass the guys working in the booth with you but I would have laughed loudly had I been sitting there.

"What's that? Teams don't know how many times Tejada bunted? They have no idea that he really isn't fast?"

If I could only have one of the Mets' young studs, I'm not sure it wouldn't be this one.
Ben feels the same way; he gave it a shot, almost pulled it off.

It's a good story, but who knows how close it really was.
True.

If, but, maybe, could be, almost was.

Considering i had a front row seat to 1972, 1974, 1978, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1999 and 2003, I'm beyond thrilled with 2004.

2007 and 2013 was the icing on the cake and the cherry on the Sundae, so it's all good.

This game is remarkably similar to the St.L/Cubs game
Today has been what October baseball is all about; extra inning game, a come from behind Royals win, a great pitchers duel in St Louis and another great pitchers duel in Los Angeles to cap it all off.

@AnthonyDiComo: Per @paul_casella, this is the first game in MLB postseason history in which both starters have 11+ strikeouts. That's insanity. #Mets

You don't have to go back that far.  Bartolo Colon for that matter.  I was just amused by Clippard's facial appearance.  He looks like the type who would be more at home in a TV show like Person Of Interest. A geeky type sitting at a laptop.

Hell there are a ton of fat guys who look like they have no business drawing a paycheck as a pro athlete.  Tyler has a face that doesn't fit.   I'm not sold on Clay B. either (LOL).   I've had a ton of arguments with co-workers about golfers being considered athletes.

True. El Guapo? I'm pretty sure Colon is plastic at this point.

There's a popular ice cream joint by me (Fenton's) that has a menu item called a Saddleback Brownie. I think that'd make a great urbandictionary entry.

Good start for Amazins.  Just a fantastic start for deGrom. Maybe the best Mets Post Season pitching performance since ? (Seaver)
