Toronto momentum carries over for an early 2-0 lead off Hamels

Hi, we are moving over from the October game thread. I'm sure E5 is thrilled. Anyway, this sucks. Hamels just isn't good enough, and even if the Rangers can catch up, he is racking up a big pitch count and will lead to the stress on his bullpen.

Wheels may be coming off the wagon here. One hit could blow the game open. Bases loaded for Tulo

It's interesting that the Phillies traded for Roy Halladay and then for Cliff Lee but the one picther to win a WS for them is Cole Hamels.

Edit, I think it was backwards but the idea is still the same.

Texas radio call made a special mention in the second about how Hamels was a better postseason starter than Bumgarner. Ha.

I was always, always against the Sox giving up our best baby for Hamels. (But that's sort of my MO, so I always assumed I was wrong.)
I wasn't necessarily against getting Hamels but I would've rioted if we gave up Mookie or X for him.

Here
Giving up a homer to the Artist Formerly Known as BJ Upton is pretty weak.

This is pitiful. While Texas is my least favorite state, I somehow still really like the Rangers. Sad for Beltre, one of my favorite players ever.

To this day I think the biggest mistake they made is not signing him.

He proved more than worthy of a long term contract and the Sox might have Anthony Rizzo manning 1st base today along with all the young guys.

I just woke up from a nap and see that Desmond botched a play that JBJ makes in his sleep
Playing out of position will sometimes do that. And that just heightened my appreciation for Mookie Betts.

I don't see any reason why an OF should not have made that play.
