It's only the Knicks though right? It worked for the Nets.
The Nets managed to put together a competitive team last year and got the 6th seed despite the previous management throwing away three high lottery picks. That sort of thing is far different than what Knicks did, which is cultivate a terrible relationship with the best player they've drafted in 30 years, followed by trading him for air.

The Association would be super fun next year and probably the next few years if KL and Butler went to LAC. I wonder if Adam Silver knows anything about mind control.

Toronto won 59 games without Kawhi the year before. That was without Marc Gasol, or the Siakam breakout. They may yet retain Danny Green. They're fine.
They'll be good, but Siakam will be the focus of opponent's defenses now. I like watching him play, so it'll be interesting to see how that works out.

Kawhi Leonard will not take any meetings with teams today, as he'll ramp up the process over next couple days, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Love it. Board man is not concerned over being the first guy to make a decision for others to react to. He's like "I'll see where the chips land and make my decision last wherever the best fit is."

Like Adam Silver. The NBA was really close to 4 years of parity and interesting title contenders.
Yeah, I'm sorry - but teaming up 3 of the top 5 guys in the league simply isn't an enjoyable product. Sour grapes and all that, but it's boring.

I'm all in on Boogie if the S&T gives them the MLE. Another offseasons removed from injury to get back to Sacramento Boogie? I'm good with that.

The back of your computer
C Joel Embiid
PF Al Horford
SF Tobias Harris
SG Josh Richardson
PG Ben Simmons

Bench - Mike Scott, Kelly Olynyk (rumored to be in deal), Zhaire Smith, Jonah Bolden, Matisse Thybulle

Looks pretty damn good.

Horford’s outside shooting helps cover up for Embiid’s poor shooting and Ben’s refusal to shoot. He can slide to the five to spell Embiid (or start there when Embiid is invariably missing some games with injury). That’s a good fit for them, unless he declines rapidly.

Still can't figure out why Butler wanted Miami, unless it's just cuz it's Miami.

I mean, until earlier today we thought Horford was gone anyway.

Is Philly better with Horford/Richardson over Reddick/Butler?
Yes considerably so. Last year they lacked another big, playing Harris at 4 when he's better as a 3. Horford is the perfect piece of them, he can defend bigs or wings, shoot and distribute. Richardson brings a lot of the 3pt shooting Reddick did but instead of a major liability on defense, he's a terrific wing defender.

That Sixer team could use some quickness and another good defensive guard, but it's a pretty powerful team on paper....they probably need another floor-spacer on the bench, but you can sign those.

They are certainly going to be interesting, wonder if those pieces actually all fit.

Thybulle and Zhaire Smith are basically both rookies, but they are two of the best defensive prospects at guard to come along over the past couple of years.
