I know it’s SAS but praying he’s right. Kawhi/Butler to Clips?

Jerry West will have done it again, accomplishing a total tear-down-and-rebuild three times faster than Ainge.

You'd think Julius Randle could do better than the Knicks
Just imagine Marcus Smart rolling his eyes at his poor fortune. Terry Rozier, drafted one year after him gets a ridiculous contract from Hornets, and Julius Randle, drafted one player after him, gets a maximally ridiculous contract from the Knicks.

If you declare Bogdanocih and Brogdon roughly a wash, I find it hard to call the addition of Lamb “a lot better.”
I wouldn't call them a wash, Brogdon is the superior player, he puts up a similar offense but instead of being a bad defender he's a very good one. Lamb is a good player, he's closer to a wash with Bogs than Brogdon is to me.

3/63 for Randle isn't terrible, I though he'd get something like 4/72, so overpaying yearly to get a shorter deal isn't awful.

So it's a minor thing but................ Klay Thompson is still out there, is GS really not going to max him? Because a last minute Klay/Kawhi pull for LAC would be something

Frankly this is more fun than the playoffs were.
No doubt, especially in Boston.

If everyone is going to agree this quickly next year they just make it an event like the draft.

Have Durant walk up to the podium, pull out a Brooklyn Nets hat to wear, do an interview.

Then two minutes later Bojan Bogdanovic comes up and pops on his Jazz hat.

James Dolan is left stewing in the green room all night...

I know it's required to make fun of the Knicks, heck I do it too, but Julius Randle is not a shitty player by any means. Averaged over 21 PPG (top 20 in the league) and eight boards, and he's got an improving three-point shot (34%).

Thanks, tried to fix.
It worked. I was thinking you would also include a picture of Rachel Nichols but that's a mystery I'll have to keep waiting on.
It's crazy how fast things happen, have we ever seen an explanation of how they can have all these deals worked out before they are suppose to be negotiating?

He's a good fantasy player for sure.

That defense tho

Reports earlier said they were going to max him.

yeah, Randle is legitimately good, and that deal isn't that bad. As a lot of people pointed out on twitter though, Randle isn't the lone star carrying the worst roster in the NBA. He's the guy you sign to put a playoff team to the next level.

It's not a bad move at all (Randle), but considering the amount of time and effort the Knicks spent clearing cap room to get what, the 15th best FA, it's hilarious. From Kyrie and Durant to a guy who's never sniffed an all star team.

So what big guys are we waiting to hear on?

1--If Kyrie is a S&T
2--Butler
3--Horford (Philly if Butler leaves?)
4--Klay

Third year on the Randle deal is reportedly a team option.

I actually like that deal a lot now, 2/42 for Randle with a 1/21 option if he's good is a nice deal. That is a deal you can trade down the line really easily, high AAV for matching, but can also be declined to nothing for the receiving team. That's a smart deal by Mills.

I kinda agree with Barkley, who was just saying on NBATV that he’s glad teams that are deliberately stripping their rosters to poach superstars deserve to get nothing.

This is what the knicks do. Instead of rebuild, they piece together their 30 wins and sit in neutral year after year. Randle is fine but I'd rather hold the cash and let my kids develop for a year

It's only the Knicks though right? It worked for the Nets.

Sheesh, how'd I forget Kawhi?

EDIT: I agree, I think Klay goes back to GS, but haven't heard it yet.

They have no kids other than maybe Barrett, their roster is garbage. Randle makes sense, he'll put up numbers, but no way he makes them good enough to drastically shift their lotto odds, maybe 5 players in the whole league are that good. Have to make the floor anyway, and Randle is good, having him might make it easier to get someone next summer. Better to come to a team with 1 promising rookie, 1 very good player and a high draft pick than come to a wasteland like the current roster.

Man, Washington is going to pay tax next year to bring back the same team that won 32 games.

Edit- NM had my numbers mixed up, they'll probably be under the tax, have 16M in wiggle room before Satoransky, so probably be a bit short.
