Yeah, I think the headline and opening paragraphs indicate that the writer needs to learn a bit more how NFL rosters work. There's zero benefit to cutting Ryland now; same with most of the other players mentioned. Boutte costs next to nothing and is worth giving another look in August. JuJu was healthy this offseason, IIRC, so even he's worth seeing if there's anything left in the tank. Zappe will be competing for QB3, but seems worth keeping around in the event that Jacoby gets hurt early. They're a bridge team, not a playoff team, and the roster management will reflect that.
