New desktop with Windows 8.1...at first all worked well with Firefox & Outlook but after a week or so I keep getting this

"Something happened on our end. Please refresh your browser or close it and sign in again."  or a prompt to either "close" or "refresh"....(No problem when using IE)....Any suggestions to remedy?  Thanks in advance.

Closer than you'd like
It may be an issue with a firefox extension. Try loading firefox in safe mode (by choosing "restart with add-ons disabled" from the menu in the upper-right and clicking the question mark) and then try opening outlook.  If this works, it means you'll probably need to reinstall any firefox extensions, or figure out which one is causing a problem and disabling it.

If it is not one of the addons/extensions, then sometimes Firefox corrupts itself and will require a fresh install. You would need to backup your profile to preserve your preferences, bookmarks, etc. Firefox puts this stuff in a weirdly named directory. This link gives you instructions about finding it and backing it up:
