I'm going to the preseason game on Thursday and wondering if premium parking was available? I don't see that specific option on the website anywhere, and I'd prefer not to hoof it across Route 1 with my father, who needs both knees replaced.

I’m not sure but I’d strongly recommend against parking in the general parking. I went to Metallica last week and parked across Rt. 1 and it took us 2 hours to reach Rt. 1. The concert ended at 10:45 and I didn’t get home (about 50 mins from Gillette) until 2:30 AM.

if you are not going south, I highly recommend parking at Papa Gino lot so you can leave on North/Water St. Huge time savings

How much do they gouge you for parking now in the main lot? I have not been to the stadium in a long time but i think it was 40 last time i went. I imagine it has to be at least 60 now...

Parking is free in the Patriots owned lots on the side of Rt. 1 opposite the stadium.

Did you miss the part where they said they would prefer NOT to hoof it due to their fathers two knee replacements? There is a tradeoff though.

Not sure about premium parking. I now season ticket holders can buy parking passes for stadium side lots for around $250 for the season. Not sure about individual games. Last I remember it was I think $50 to park in the stadium lots but that was a concert. I don't generally park there. I know the normal resellers often have parking passes for regular season games. Maybe not worthwhile for preseason though. Plus you need to be careful as people will put the free lots across the street on there.

Never tried to park across Rt. 1, i would always just go to the main lot. Tell you the truth i didn't know free parking was ever offered, this was a long time ago though, before patriots place was built up.

I was at the Metallica show Sunday and I parked in the ADA lot 22, they wacked me for an additional $50. That wouldn't have been bad but there weren't any actual ADA spots, they were all taken up by suspiciously non HC (looking anyway) individuals who were tailgating. Was a total pain in the ass to get in and out of my chair without the loading stripe but I digress.

DOn’t you have to stay for like 90 min after the game?
They do have a delayed release lot you can park in, believe you have to register, and they give you a $50 Visa gift card but all of the other lots on that side you are able to leave when you want.

FTFY: being last in line either southbound or northbound is no fun.

@Kliq I'd recommend your father get an ADA placard for the car if eligible, can only help with Gillette's ADA parking lot as well as other situations like that. I've been a passenger with a friend's elderly uncle to a game some years back, and the ADA lot was very convenient to the stadium.

I’ve been to a couple preseason games. Never had trouble getting in and out of the lots across Route 1, but I got bored and left well before the end of the game. Wouldn’t expect the traffic flow to be much different from the lots immediately adjacent to the stadium, but I’d defer to those who have actually parked there for events.

Basically, I don’t think a preseason game at Gillette is anything like a regular-season game or a concert there — lots of empty seats, and lots of people who leave before the end.

This is basically what I expect. I'm not super concerned about the traffic getting out of the lot for a preseason game. I am concerned about the length of the walk for my father--and it doesn't seem clear on any online site that there is premium parking available for a closer walk, which I'd be happy to pay for.

I saw Bruce Springsteen last year and pre-purchased premium parking for $50 and it was totally worth it, due to the close proximity to the stadium and it was super easy to get out of the lot. Disappointed there doesn't seem to be that option for a preseason game.

I have lived in Foxborough for the last 15+ years on North Street, nearby the back Putnam Way gate is, where the team buses enter/leave the stadium.

Unfortunately, any type of event, whether it's a soccer game, a pre-season game, or a concert has a minimum wait-time of an hour just to leave the parking lot. I went to the fireworks display on July 2nd at Patriots Place with children, parked nearby the movie theater, and it still took 45 minutes in standstill traffic to get to route 1.

If anyone is ever interested in parking in my driveway (nearby Lawton's Lane on North Street), for a Gillette Stadium event please PM me. It's a 30 minute walk to Gillette through the train tracks, or if you're lucky, the security allows pedestrians through the back gate, it turns into a smooth 20 minute walk. It's easy exit/arrival, and you can take the backroads to get to I-95 without ever having to go through route 1.

For Kliq, with your fathers' knees, I don't think a 30 minute walk would be practical, but at that point, getting an ADA sticker would at least help you out a little. Guessing the commuter rail is out of the question?

Where did you find that? Looking for premium parking for Kenny Chesney for my MIL.

They don't make it easy to find.

https://www.gillettestadium.com/upcoming-events/

I'd link directly to the ticketing system, but not sure which night you're looking for. Click on "view event guide" for the show you are going to. Scroll down, click on "parking." 3rd bullet point is pre-paid parking and contains a link that takes you to the ticketing system.

I bought parking last week for the Sunday show. One thing to note is that they only allow one pass per email address that is associated with tickets. So if you bought tickets for a group, you have to distribute the tickets out first, then have them buy their own parking. We're going as a birthday party for a friend and the organizer bought all the tickets but was only allowed to buy 1 parking pass even though he had 8 tickets. He had to send us our 2 before we could buy our own.

Got it, thanks! Have you ever seen the Pink lots in there? 5a/5b/6a? Of are they a whole other channel through putnam club?

Just wanted to pop in and give a big thumbs up and +1 recommendation to the Papa Gino's lot.

I was at the Saturday Kenny Chesney show. We left the stadium with about 1 song left and were walking/crossing under Rt. 1 at exactly 11:00pm. Once we made it back to the car, there was no traffic exiting the lot or for the entire ~10 mile trip back to the hotel in Dedham. We were able to take Washington St. the entire way and avoid any traffic nonsense. By 11:45 I was crawling into bed.

Going to the game on Sunday and will be coming from south. Read the previous threads and looks like the America Best Value Inn lot is a good option….one logistical question though (probably dumb but I’m going with my 7 year old son and have never been to Foxboro so trying to make sure I plan ahead) - if I’m coming from south on Rte 1, am I going to be able to make a left turn into that lot? Or will I need to make a u-turn at some point so I can get in there? (Is a u-turn even feasible?)

thanks all

As of a few seasons ago, you were able to make left turns into all the lots to the south. Note that they only keep one southbound lane open, so get in the third/far left lane open to northbound traffic. The traffic on the opposing lane should naturally be lighter from folks wanting to stay on their respective sides to help the commute home.

I see some here talking about ADA parking at the stadium. Are there any options as i have a coworker who is looking to maybe go to a game that some of our vendors gave the tickets for, and he has 2 bum knees. Is a handicap placard needed to get some kind of close to the stadium parking? He does not have ADA plates currently, is there any options for people like him, paying money for better parking is not a problem as long as it is semi reasonable.

I'm going to the Rams game next week. Is the $25 to park on the stadium side worth it? My inclination is yes based on concert experience but I'm also wondering if the crowds are ligther due to the suckage of the team and thus getting out of the lots across route 1 aren't as bad as in the past. I'm coming from the North but meeting someone coming up from Rhode Island so I can't park too far up route 1 towards 95.
