He's easily my favorite Bruin of alltime and I have his sweater--it's the only one I own. This came too late, out of respect for Z, which is exactly why he's so deserving. READY FOR MOAR HOCKEY.

Between here and everywhere.
Looks like I'm buying a new jersey so I can have one with the C.

Bergeron is my second favorite player all time behind only Neely. Him getting the C is well deserved.

Only Jersey I owned was his. So now I need a new one too.

Witnessing Bergeron’s growth from precocious teen to seasoned leader has been incredible. One of the best all-around players and by all accounts a fantastic human being. I hope he gets to raise the cup again with the Bruins - but either way, it is a joy to watch him on the ice.

Bergeron getting the C an obvious choice, and more than deserved. Have followed the B's since the early 70's and he is one of my all time favorites for sure. He defines what a Bruin is supposed to be.

World Championship gold medal, World Junior Gold Medal, World Junior MVP, 2 Olympic golds, Stanley Cup Champion, 4X Selke winner, 6th highest scoring Bruin of all time and my favorite player ever.

He has been destined for the C since he was 25 years old. He is among the most deserving captains in the league and we are all fortunate to have seem him play all these years.

I kinda like him.

FWIW, that's a Hall of Fame resume right there.

I will 100% be attending his HOF induction ceremony. He’s my favorite athlete of all time.

I followed the B's since the Orr & Big Bad Bruins era. HOF Bergy has been a pleasure to watch and is a very special player.

I seriously entertained the thought that they would not announce and he'd just skate out opening night with the C and nothing would change otherwise.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

The Marty LaPointe contract was worth every penny just for his role in developing the perfect hockey player.

Same for me. Despite growing up in the golden era with Pedro, Manny, Brady, Ortiz, Pierce, etc. he has been and always will be my favorite. #37 will always be one of my Powerball and Keno numbers and usually in my passwords somehow.

This is very true.

I need to get a jersey with the C on it but I already have a black one and I would get a white one filthy. I think the reverse retro might look alright on ice but I don’t think I could pull it off. Are they still going to keep the all black alternates with the bear on the front? Is there a 4th they might release for the outdoor game or something?

Kinda sad that this takes Bergeron off my list of players who should have been captains but never were. Still have Bobby Orr, Duncan Keith, Bryan Trottier, and Mark Recchi on the team, but now need a center.

He also won a Juniors Gold. The year after he had won Gold at The World Championship. Not sure anyone has every won World before World Juniors. Some type of winner.
