And no one wants 7 wins. At this point it’s better to see what you got in the younger guys and try to add a few extra picks that BB will eventually trade away and / or waste.

bums me out that every game except last week has been completely winnable and they've wound up on the losing end every time. not their year.
This. Newton playing as well as he can from here on out only helps him get a contract next year. At this point they would be better off going 4-12 and picking high then sticking with this guy and maybe going 8-8.
"anti-clutch" is a good way to describe this team, when they're not outright sucking.

Yep, McDaniels is scared to death of Cam throwing. It’s time to just move on to Stidham. He’s probably not good but may as well find out for sure.
After 20 years of excellence, what’s wrong with sucking for a year or two? Nothing worse than 8-8. Reload the roster and find QB of the future. Losing isn’t the worst thing at this point.

No. That’s why I said “maybe” 8-8. Like if everything goes well, defense plays awesome, etc. this is most likely a 6-10 team with Newton. I’d rather be 3-13 with Stidham.
This team isn't getting anywhere near 8 - 8 and they shouldn't try to. It is time to stink and try to get elite talent in the draft.

I fully anticipated the Pats were going to win that game when the Bills were held to a field goal on their final drive. The Bills couldn't contain, couldn't stop the run. We had the obligatory Josh Allen turnover. This is the second gift win they have this year (the refs screwed the Rams in their loss to the Bills). They are a hollow 6-2, and I imagine Seattle will stomp them next week.
The offense can be quite good at times, but the defense is not healthy/good right now. I'm hoping they make a trade for a defensive lineman who can eat up blockers. No idea if any such player is available.

I get it but I don’t share the anger here. They were in position to win a road game against the best team in the division severely undermanned on both sides of the ball. This was after a terrible first half. I’m disappointed they didn’t execute but it wasn’t remotely comparable to the pitiful results the last two weeks.
As for Cam, he continues to lack consistency and at times looks awful, but at other times looks incredibly dynamic. This is exactly what I’d expect given A) The skill players around him, B) Him still trying to learn the offense given all the COVID problems and a bit of a distant C) Who he is, skill-wise. The fumble was super disappointing but also a bit of the guy trying to do too much. He had a bunch of ducks but was much faster through his progression this week in both halves – a fact that was somewhat obscured by the litany of penalties in the first half that negated a number of plays and put them in long yardage situations.
Again, I get it. They looked really bad at times and after the last few weeks, fumbling another close game away feels like cold comfort to a fan base that’s used to execution excellence.
But for me, Bill’s press conference was a tell – no excuses about injuries, no silver linings. Just didn’t get it done. That tells me he actually hasn’t given up on this team – that he thinks some combination of Cam getting regular reps, Harris getting 20-+ touches per game and just more practice for everybody will produce results.
Too late? Maybe. Probably. But I am still interested watching him manage this situation.

Yeah I'm not a fan of "blowing it up".......blowing what up? Trading Thuney/Gilmore/Jackson/any other of your better players........and then do what, use the draft picks you get to replace those guys?

yeah bill wants shula record u shouild call elway after today miracle win by denver i wouild give a 3rd for Tunney and maybe a Lawrence guy for denver 4th round TE albert O this gives u a good TE and a high 3rd round pick and this gives elway a good o-lineman and a good d-lineman to try and get the 7 seed
You have a coach who's openly talking about this being a transitional year in which they lack talent and are cap strained. You better believe he'll deal players at the deadline if the right opportunity presents.
Well if he decides to deal away some of what little talent there is on this roster, he had better hit bigtime on the draft picks he gets in return, the teams future depends on it.
Gilmore won't be part of the next contender the Patriots put together. Why hold on to talent of that sort if you can get a good draft pick for it? I'd rather take a shot at drafting a good player who's not as good as Gilmore but is 8 years younger under a longer contract while making 5 times less money. Now, if we're talking guys like JC Jackson (and let's be honest, there aren't many of those on the team), then I agree: keep them.
I agree with what you're saying, but the problem is it all comes down to what sort of draft pick/picks you get for him; unfortunately, rarely do you get high draft picks in trades, most times you get middling picks.
If they really think he won't be part of the next contender, then I guess it makes sense to trade him.
Again; they had better start hitting on some of their draft picks and get some top end talent in here as they are void of it right now..................
