I want The Hopster to do it, just to see whether he can fit the entire draft order in the titleBy the way who is starting the round 1 game thread? @CaptainLaddie ?????
Some people say Mac Jones is so good he should be the 2nd & 3rd pick...If your erection lasts more than two hours yadda yadda yadda...

Others think he looks like a Lego:Most projections have Fields still available at No. 4, with Trevor Lawrence going first, Mac Jones going second and either Mac Jones or Trey Lance going third.
Not unless Julio Jones is coming back the other way ... Falcons are in cap-space HellIf that is the case, could Gilmore be in the mix for a trade with Atlanta?
They can't trade Julio until June 1st without incurring like a $33m cap hit, so he can't really be part of a trade for #4. JCJ instead of Gilmore maybe...Not unless Julio Jones is coming back the other way ... Falcons are in cap-space Hell
This is just referring to the Jeff Howe story that was posted here this morning:https://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?threads/pats-qb-options.32321/page-54#post-4392492If your erection lasts more than two hours yadda yadda yadda...

Phew, I thought you were talking about the Uber driver for a moment there... Was worried I might need to live up to some impossible expectations in the future. If your erection lasts more than two hours...
Maybe it should be one of our prominent experts like @SMU_Sox ? Or perhaps… the one and only @Sille Skrub ???Oh God, why me?!
I mean that always made the most sense to me, Pitts lining up as the slot receiver in ATL makes that offense a living nightmare for opponents. The defense might need work, but they'd legitimately beat opponents into the ground offensively with Pitts. And with the way that that offense would score, life would get easier on the D as they'd just need to focus on pass defense (a la the Manning Colts).Add in the report that Atlanta is expected to stand pat and draft Pitts, and the Fields dropping scenario seems very much in play.
Agree 100%--for a team that is not drafting a QB (and Atlanta seems like they are rolling with Ryan for now), Pitts is likely the best player in the draft.I mean that always made the most sense to me, Pitts lining up as the slot receiver in ATL makes that offense a living nightmare for opponents. What I’ve been told, by a reliable source —@Patriots are working on a new contract for Jimmy G that could lead to a deal with @49ers. Same source who correctly told me Tom Brady had signed with @Buccaneers. Doesn’t mean it will get done, but they’re working on it.
Maybe his source is Don Yee?Does Dale Arnold have sources?
As much as some people love JG...If the quote of someone saying "we didn't do all this (free agency) for Cam *** Newton" I sure as heck hope they didn't do it for Jimmy *** G either. That would be severely disappointing.Does Dale Arnold have sources?
Of all the quarterback outcomes possible, this to me is the least excitingDoes Dale Arnold have sources?
Both can be 100% true.I trust this guy a lot more than Dale Arnold.

A certain uber driver couldn't agree more.If you wanted to throw a little misinformation/smokescreen that might get teams thinking you're not trading up but also don't want to burn any relationships with reporters who actually cover the team...
Anyway, who the fuck knows at this point. Tomorrow night can't come soon enough.
All the more reason to just draft one in the first round and get it over with. I hope.A certain uber driver couldn't agree more.
BB is going into this season with Stidham, Cam, and ? (possibly JG if the trade is cheap enough and can be restructured)
I think he hates having to be held hostage by the QB position.
Yeah that could make sense, but it's a the opportunity cost of "cost-controlled possible upgrade at QB" v. "other great impact player"All the more reason to just draft one in the first round and get it over with. I hope.
JG with this O-Line, 2 headed TE-monster, Agholer, Bourne, and maybe a Waddle? It’s not bad...I would be thrilled with Jimmy G on a reasonable contract. Two-headed be QB monster of Cam and Jimmy for 17 games would be great. I’m on board.
It’s pretty bad for the 8 games Stidham will be forced to play when Jimmy gets hurt.JG with this O-Line, 2 headed TE-monster, Agholer, Bourne, and maybe a Waddle? It’s not bad...
Stiddy? You mean Mond? It’s pretty bad for the 8 games Stidham will be forced to play when Jimmy gets hurt.
If he is, I'd hate to think what the question is.Really hope Jimmy G isn’t the answer
He'll give you a solid 2.5 games before ruptures, tears or blows out something.I'll be so fucking pissed if they acquire JG. I can't even put into words how disappointing that would be.
And FUCK trading even a used Q-tip for him.
This is just fantastic. So ... right around when @MuppetAsteriskTalk 's eventual ex-wife is tipping the Uber driver
I have the utmost faith that the next great Pats QB is not going to be Jimmy G. He's got maybe 20 good games to his credit in his entire career, he's not just constantly hurt, he's also not been consistently good when he's healthy. He might be the next league averagish part-time starter? I'd straight up rather have Cam for all his flaws.I don't even a little want to see the Pats trade for the rights to restructure Jimmy's (ridiculous) contract. With the promise of Fields or Lance or a BB-endorsed Mac Jones still alive, I too would be extremely disappointed to see a trade in the next 22 hours.
But that said, if the first 5 QBs are off the board tomorrow and we haven't picked yet, are there any more realistic opportunities for good QB play in the next two seasons than JG? I still absolutely don't want to give up picks for him nor deal with the $$. Hell, I still think Cam Newton could lead this roster to the playoffs. But outside of squinting to see a Carr or Ryan trade in 12 months I don't have a lot of faith the next great Pats QB is someone outside this draft or Garoppolo unless we're waiting multiple seasons.
I'm more with you than not, and I'd rather trade next year's first to move up than sign Jimmy for free. I suppose the point I'm really trying to make is the options with upside feel particularly limited. Where we may disagree is on how much upside Garoppolo has - I'm fairly high on 2016 or 2019 Jimmy taking a good Belichick roster far, and in the absence of truly better options I'm willing to overlook injury risk more but you're not wrong that he hasn't consistently been a worldbeater when healthy.Worth noting that Jimmy G wasn't particularly good last year be

I think many people don't really appreciate the crappiness of a 2.7% career INT rate for a QB in this era, especially for a QB who has played with a lot of surrounding talent and almost never had to throw the ball a lot (only 5 career games with >35 passing attempts). Throw in 19 career fumbles in 32 starts for good measure.Worth noting that Jimmy G wasn't particularly good last year be

No doubt. Some Pat's fans think he is the savior in waiting but there is a reason SF spent a HUGE amount to replace him.I think many people don't really appreciate the crappiness of a 2.7% career INT rate for a QB in this era, especially for a QB who has played with a lot of surrounding talent and almost never had to throw the ball a lot (only 5 career games with >35 passing attempts). and to think of all the local angst when he was traded away. Now the narrative is mostly "no thanks", we can do a lot better. No doubt. Some Pat's fans think he is the savior in waiting but there is a reason SF spent a HUGE amount to replace him.
View: https://twitter.com/ezlazar/status/1387614586292031500?s=19The #Patriots either have the entire league believing a smokescreen or are really working on a trade up into the top ten for a QB. Luckily we’ll finally find out tomorrow night. Last sleep till it’s draft day.
Right there with you.Oh god, no JG please. Injury history alone is enough to stay well away at (almost) any price.
On the other hand, I'm getting more excited about BB landing Fields or Lance.
