I read somewhere (can't find it now) that the injury was a torn labrum. Can our resident docs chime in on what that means for his recovery time? Is he done for the season? IR with a likelihood to return?
Yeah, somehow I thought broken arm at first then briefly suspended rending garments when I heard something about shoulder separation…but dislocated shoulder and/or tearing labrum seems worse (at least than non-displaced or open fracture for example).

I’ll split the copay @Saints Rest

Edit-there are other reports of varying specificity and diagnosis still so unnamed EEI source may not be gospel:)

Frustrating for sure. Get well soon, Christian, and come back in 2024 ready to light up the NFL.

What a shame. Good news is that he should fully recover for next season. Bad news is that we lose a season of a dynamic and potentially game changing DB.

I think torn labrum is a pretty general term. I was diagnosed with one in the middle of my boxing career but was told I didn’t need surgery right away. Kept fight and lifting and eventually had surgery, but mine obviously wasn’t as bad as other tears can be, of course.

Glad it's not a knee/hip/ankle/whatever that would be more worrying, long-term. And, however vexing, this team is in rebuild mode still, so it's not like we're missing out on a playoff run b/c of it. Get healthy, get ready for 2024, team drafts a few slots better in each round next year.
