He really, really struggled early in the year, and his overall numbers look bad, but I think he was called up a little bit before he was ready. His quality at bats, along with his solid defense (eye test, haven't looked at the numbers), make him pretty close to must watch for me at this point. It's also the biggest reason I think Philly is not a likely destination for Xander, as some have speculated.

Gregorious hitting like Steve Jeltz this season probably forced their hand a bit.

Was just coming to post Hoberg's scorecard. I was impressed by him during the game, and that makes me even more impressed. Between this and the guy instantly calling out that Diaz had leaned into the pitch, the home plate umpires have been very good this series.

I just finished reading this article about moneyball ruining baseball (https://www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/archive/2022/10/sabermetrics-analytics-ruined-baseball-sports-music-film/671924/) and I came here and read the game may be postponed and I am sad! I still love baseball, and I want to watch a game tonight, even though I can't understand why it's starting at 8 rather than 7.
