I hate seeing a WS game played in steady rain, which is what it looks like we'll get here. But, and I hope this isn't a factor, if tonight's game is postponed and everything gets pushed back a day, then a potential series-ending Game 5 would be up against a Thursday Night Football game between the Eagles and the Texans, which would for sure put a dent in the ratings in the market of the team facing elimination, if not both teams.

If it goes 7, daylight savings will end before the baseball season ends, I find that funny.

Will the Phillies just straight up skip Thor now? Can do Suarez fine tomorrow, Nola game 4, Wheeler game 5 both on regular rest, and go from there if they are up 3-2 or down 3-2 for game 6. Suarez game 7 on full rest with everyone available, Wheeler could give an inning or two and Nola maybe as well

And the extra rest didn't seem to help Wheeler last time either.
Oh, well.
I was really looking for a distraction from horror films (I won't watch them) and the state of the country (or is that redundant?)

The Phillies have a chance to win the series in game 5. That's a much more valuable ticket than game 3 or 4, so you can't just swap them.

They really should have the Monday tickets accepted on Thursday and keep the Tuesday/Wednesday tickets unchanged.
that's what they did with the 2004 ALCS. Game 3 rained out (I was at a bar near Fenway lamenting that state of things with @Lose Remerswaal and @BoSoxLady ) --> Original Game 3 tickets (Friday) were honored for the new Game 5 (Monday). Fans with what had been "home game 2" on Saturday now had tickets for Game 3... still on Saturday. Fans with "home game 3" tickets on Sunday now had tickets for Game 4... still on Sunday. Only people who had to change plans were those who were rained out, who were offered a Game 5 ticket on Monday.

I had midterms on Monday and had to sell my tickets at face to another SoSHer. Lucky stiff. Wish I remembered who that was.

Anyway, yeah, that's what they should do here. Why fuck with 3 games' worth of fans, who had all made plans? All it's gonna do is make a bunch of empty seats and a more muted crowd at a friggen World Series, while some rich guys who'd blown two grand on a ticket to the game had flights to catch.

Well, if it had been a sweep, the people who had tickets to Game 3 would have been pissed. That's why they don't do that.

Edit: And the Eagles are playing the Texans on TNF. Thursday was supposed to be the off day.
