So I'm in the process of moving from a Galaxy S10 to and S22. It's been transferring the data for a while now and I've been able to use the new phone while it's been happening. Apparently it just brought over the settings that include a passcode, because it's asking me to unlock the new device. Only issue is, my code isn't working. My old phone used #s and letters for the code and had a full qwerty keyboard on the unlock screen. The new phone just has the # keypad. I try the same 4#s and corresponding letters, but it's not working. I have no way to change the input screen to the qwerty, from what I can tell.

I'm hoping it's still transferring and whatever that policy is will come over. But if not, any ideas?

What if you changed the passcode on the old device to 4 numbers? Is it too late to back out and do that?

I gave that a shot last night and it wouldn't let me as it made me use to more complex one a few months ago when I added my work email. I think it was related to that. This morning, after I gave up last night, the transfer was complete and it was still the #pad. I used my old 4 digit pin (pre work policy being added) and it worked this time. I had tried the old code before as well, but it didn't take. Something must have finished in the transfer that did it.
