Ramirez and cash for RHP Yhonathan Barrios (23YO AAA reliever).  PIT pays $3mm of Ramirez's salary; MIL covers the rest (approx $2.2mm).

Harrison and Mercer injuries really put Pirates in a bind. Ramirez has hit really well this month, so maybe he gets inspired by playing for something

This also closes the circle on a long career, where Ramirez got called up too early, struggled for a number of years with the terrible Bucs, then hit well in 2001 before being traded to the Prior/Wood Cubs in 2003.

Isn't it odd that the only two that fits are back where they started?
