If we don't win it I want Brady to ride out on top. It's stupid but there's something that tickles me about going to the Bucs and Arians. I am going to be thrilled to watch Brady and the Bucs whenever the Patriots are not playing.

There's something English history about it... It's like going from the Royal Navy with the stiff-upper-lipped ruthless genius at the top, Admiral Belichick, to being a pirate under Admiral "Yarr bombs away" Arians. I don't begrudge Brady or Gronk. It's a tough system to be in for 10 years let alone two decades. Seeing Gronk get emotional talking about the wear-and-tear - got a little dusty in here too. When I think about my 3 favorite Patriots it's, in order, Brady, Gronk, and then Rodney Harrison. So yeah, fuck yeah, go Bucs.

This is also a year they need to eat a lot of dead cap before next year when they have a ton of cap space. They are the 2018 Bills. I am excited about seeing what the younger guys can do when they are thrown into the fire.

Because always team first. Brady didn’t want to be in NE anymore and his behavior the last couple years was less than ideal so I hope he finds the grass is not greener. Also, Gronk has become insufferable between waiting so late in free agency to retire, the constant comeback tease, and fighting so desperately to be relevant with Fox/WWE. I’m tired of the narrative that players don’t have fun under BB. The only thing more satisfying than the Bucs experiment being a disaster would be BB out coaching them in the Super Bowl, but I’ll choose to root against them every game instead. Salty? Yes, but as these guys can do whatever they choose, I’ll choose whatever my response to it.

At the end, I found Tom petulant and Gronk manipulative. Loved 'em both when they were here but I have no rooting interest in them any longer. Does that make me a bad person?

Except the story is that the Patriots never even made an offer to him.

and his behavior the last couple years was less than ideal so I hope he finds the grass is not greener.
What behavior? Considering the amount of horrible shit weve seen come from NFL players, were knocking Tom for being a little short in interviews?

Also, Gronk has become insufferable between waiting so late in free agency to retire,
This was disappointing, but also unfair to him. He was deciding if he wanted to retire. People should be able to make that decision on their own schedule.

the constant comeback tease,
I mean...he did comeback. So...

and fighting so desperately to be relevant with Fox/WWE.
He was a retired superstar. Going on pregame shows isnt some revelation. And hes literally talked about the WWE for several years. That was him doing something he wanted to do. He wasnt "fighting desperately to be relevant."

All the other stuff you wrote has nothing to do with TB or Gronk. I can understand not rooting for them. I dont agree with it, but I understand it. You're making up a bunch of shit for why you just want to see someone who left your football team fail. And most of us can understand that, too. But rooting against a couple guys that delivered 6 titles and 30 combined years? Its shitty.

I am pulling for TB and Gronk to win the Super Bowl, unless they're playing New England in said Super Bowl, which I don't think is likely. I think TB realizes how much a seventh, non-BB Super Bowl would add to his already ridiculous legacy, and he's pulling out all the stops, and I hope he wins it. And next year, with a retooled roster and better cap space, I hope the Pats start up Dynasty 2.0 with a seventh Super Bowl. Everybody wins.

Maybe it's because I only saw Bledsoe and Brady behind center, but the Patriots woudn't be the Patriots if it wasn't for Kraft, Belichick, and Brady, and I'll root for those three in whatever capacity they choose, although I'm glad I won't have to wish well unto the Colts, Ravens, Steelers, Jets, Dolphins...

I feel like Brady is also aiming to put Brees in the rearview mirror on some career record numbers and went somewhere with all the weapons he needs.
