Can anyone tell me why sometimes my tweets post like this on one computer:

(1) Nathan Epstein on Twitter: "Crowds are back in Richmond! Day 1 of @WashingtonNFL training camp! @WAVY_News https://t.co/pz4EF9ypvI" / Twitter

and like this on another? The first one posts as a link, the second as MEDIA, but I'm copying and pasting the same link in both times. Is there some default I can change so the first posts like the one below?

Can't explain why it shows up differently on different computers, but are you just pasting the link in the body of the post, or using the 'insert > media' dropdown? The latter will always post as media I believe. Also won't show the link trailing next to the Tweet

Yeah, I know there's a way to do it. My question is why, when I simply post the link in the body of the post, on some computers it shows up one way and on others it shows up another?

The only thing different is the browser--which must be what's causing it. On my personal laptop and on iphone you see the whole tweet. On work computer, you just see the words. Same thing happens with youtube as well. I just want the work default to be the same.

Is your work computer yours? If it belongs to the company, that's probably why. They are very likely the culprit.

Yeah--was just wondering if there's a box I can check or uncheck to fix it.

It could be which release of software you have /download settings/security settings/ specific extension in the browser. It could also be type of image uploaded(jpeg/avi/rar etc..} that may not be supported by your computer or browser.

Your work computer may have filters installed by your tech guys to remove/reduce social media watching and increase security.

You might try making sure all updates have run. Make sure your video drivers are up to date. Check MajorGeeks website for codec updates.

Yesterday embedded tweets suddenly stopped loading for me, they say "loading" forever. I am on chrome on a chromebook with adblock. No new updates installed yesterday AFAIK. It has the same behavior when I turn off adblock. Other websites load embedded tweets for me just fine. Any ideas?

I don't use Chrome so can only help theoretically but do you use LastPass? Found this message board exchange that had a similar issue: https://www.volnation.com/forum/threads/emdedded-tweets-not-loading.341908/#post-21536574

Same here. Using Firefox and AdBlock. Disabled security settings for both on SoSH and retried but still doesn't work. I do have LastPass, but can't see what they are suggesting is the issue (not being a member of VolNation- ha). Just started the last couple days.

Right click on the last pass extension when your tab is on SoSH, select the "This can read this and site data" option, and then select when you click the extension. Tweets are now working for me after I did that

Anyone know how to fix this LastPass problem for mobile Safari (i.e. iPhone/iPad)? The instructions above appear to be for desktop browsers.

Worked for me (Brave/Lastpass desktop). No apparent resolution on mobile.

I created a support ticket with LastPass regarding this issue on mobile. Will post back here if I get back anything useful.
Well I heard back from a LastPass support person regarding this problem on mobile, and he asked me to send him a screen capture of the problem. I went to create a screen capture, and found that magically, embedded tweets are now displaying correctly for me, even with the LastPass extension enabled. Works now on mobile Safari on both my iPhone and iPad. Anyone else seeing this?
