Gonna be some cold games today, 48 degrees at first pitch here.

Triston McKenzie is such a neat kid, so well-spoken and nice, at least in an interview I saw with him on mlbn.
Easy one, two, three for him for the top of the first.

Crud, I thought I had a channel package that included ESPN so I could watch this one, but apparently I was mistaken. May have to do some digging, don’t want to drop $35 for sling for effectively a handful of games.

Stuck on game day without a stream, but did McKenzie just throw an immaculate inning?

He did not, some foul balls meant that it was an 11 pitch (all strikes) inning, 3 Ks.

How long will the Rays let Glasnow go, given his short outings until this point?

I had other commitments and knew I was going to miss the first half the game... I assumed that would also mean missing a run or two. At least I got to see the last couple of outs from future Cy Young Award winner Dr. Sticks.

Margot also made one of the dumbest stolen base attempts I've ever seen less than two weeks ago against Cleveland when he was thrown out by a mile trying to swipe third base in extra innings.

For those who don't know, Cleveland's most famous fan – John Adams, aka "Drum Guy" – hasn't been able to attend a game since 2019 due to the pandemic and then serious thyroid and heart problems. He's one of only 12 members of the Guardian's "Distinguished Hall of Fame" for non-uniformed personnel. He's still watching at home and has a special place at the top of the left field bleachers.
