67, -5 on the Stadium Course today. Still 2 shots off the cut, but it is doable. Believe he plays La Quinta tomorrow. Needs something in the mid 60’s.

-3 thru 14 and T12 at -6, 4 off the lead. Half the field has yet to tee off so he’ll probably fall but should probably stay around the T20 from yesterday.

He made $75,750 today, and got 38 Fedex points. Should be enough to get him into the Honda next week, which is huge, because a ton of our friends go down there every year to support him.

Got one back and now sits at +3 thru 8 which is shockingly on the cut line. Can never make it easy. It looks like a lot of lower scores are happening in the afternoon though. So he's got that going for him.

Really strange round for Rob. You don't normally see him go low because of his putter. He made a lot of par saves in the 5-10' range, and drained some 15'+ putts, along with the chip in. Hell of a back nine to put him in great shape.

11/18 GIR
9/14 Fairways Hit
1.55 Putts per green (T10th out of the field)

By my shot tracker count - made 8 putts between 5'-25' - after following every round of his for years, I doubt there are more than 2-3 that have that same stat.

I get the media releases for The Players and Rob wasn't listed in the current field (144) or the alternate list.

Other than winning this weekend, is there a path to The Players for Rob?
No. Nothing that happens this week matters except for winning. The alternate list is based on FedEx standings as of March 2.

Flying solo this morning, first player out. Wind looks to be whipping around quite a bit.

Bogey, triple start. Eek.

So completely missed the announcements when they came last month. Am I right in saying that the rule changes at the PGA level means Rob will have his card for next season as well.

It seems they are freezing promotions, no Korn Ferry Qualifying , etc

He is, he’ll keep his card through next season.

It’s just a playing opportunity. He’s not going to get much on the PGA Tour since he’s low on the priority list and fields are going to be more stacked than usual. He was something like the 8th alternate last week. I’m not sure of the exact specifics, but basically there is no KFT promotion or playoffs this year, so they are letting some of the lower priority PGA Tour members play. There’s a whole bunch in this week.
