I almost talked myself out of this pick because of the sheer number of ridiculous pictures you can find of this guy through a simple google search. If I knew him in real life I feel like we'd either be best friends or I'd want to kill him instantly.  He's been a bit of a disaster off the field, but has quieted down a bit recently. With that said, I think that makes him a perfect punter. Kickers and punters are supposed to be different and this guy fits the bill.

With our offense currently being run by a 4th round rookie QB, I'm expecting our team might have to punt once or twice this season.  This guy joins the youth movement we've got going on, and while he currently benefits from playing indoors, he's got a leg that can boot the ball in any weather. He gets good hang time on his punts and is pretty good at pinning teams inside the 20. He's also fully capable of handling kickoff duties.

The Jnai Dolphins select P Pat McAfee

Dustin Hopkins, K

Leading scorer in NCAA history with a big leg and not to mention has potentially the hottest girlfriend of any kicker.  What is not to like?

We need to fill in the back up to the front seven and we're more happy with our LB corps than our defensive line.  The Varmint Cong will continue their late round focus on young talent and select William Gholston, DE, Michigan State University

FUCK!

SSF took my guy.  Stupid chart wasn't updated.  Hold on.

Okay, Jelani Jenkins, OLB, Miami.  Our fourth rookie linebacker, Jenkins is excellent in space, and looks to be excellent against the pass.  Just has to stay healthy.

For this pick, we wanted to supplement our offense, and provide some depth. We looked to a second RB, as Jamaal Charles, as excellent a player as he is, does have some injury history. When doing some legwork, we found someone we felt was excellent value at this stage in the draft. In his second year in the league last year, this former first round pick finished inside the top-20 in the league in DYAR, DVOA, and Success Rate, and did not record a fumble last year in 156 rushing attempts. And while we recognize that those statistics can be swung by smaller sample size, we felt like our pick has the potential to back it up. He had a very successful college career, was highly regarded coming out, and won the Heisman.

So, with the 29th pick in the 25th round, the Green Bay Packers are pleased to select Mark Ingram, RB

The Denver Broncos select.... Marquise Goodwin, WR (to my FB slot)

Right now my offensive skills players are M.Leshoure, A.Bradshaw, G.Tate, M.Floyd, R.Streater, and H.Miller.  All should be decent players and give Philip Rivers some good options, but I really needed a guy who can stretch the defense, return kicks, and play special teams too.  And if I ever find my team needing a long jumper for a charity event, he can do that too (he represented the USA in the 2012 Olympics.)  He ran a ridiculous 4.27 40 at the combine, and he plays a physical style too, rarely shying away from a hit or block.

The Saints select RB Andre Brown

I really, really wanted David Wilson about 10 rounds ago, but I'll settle for Brown as my second RB.  He's a 26 year old with low NFL mileage and was a solid as part of the RB rotation last year before breaking his leg.  With Bradshaw gone, I would expect him to get a good deal of work going forward.

P.S. - Baccari Rambo is not listed as my SS on the chart

Vikings select:  Michael Bush, RB and Brett Kern, P.

Bush has been a very productive backup for a couple years now, filling in when McFadden has been hurt and providing a solid pass-catching option out of the backfield (at least until playing behind Matt Forte).  He'll provide insurance on Brown and help in short-yardage situations.

Had a whole writeup here for Bryan Anger before realizing that KFP already drafted him.  Suffice to say - Rookie QB + Shaky OLine = lots of punting.   Was very unhappy to see Anger and McAfee off the board, but happy we were still able to nab Kern.

The Saints select P Dave Zastudil

Thanks to the Cardinals' debacle of a QB depth chart, Zastudil net NFL single-season records for for total punt yardage and number of punts inside the 20 last season.  Also, look at the form on that tackle!

The Denver Broncos select.... Jeff Locke, P

The run on punters continues!  Has a huge leg on kickoffs, doesn't allow many significant punt returns, and can also fill in as an emergency kicker (nailed 49 and 51-yard field goals against Texas two years ago).  He even played WR in high school, so maybe he could be used for some trick plays.

Yeah but I know my pick is wrong -- it says I took Andre Brown when I took Jelani Jenkins.

With that -- I will take.... Stephen Gostkowski, K.

Is he the best kicker in the NFL?  No.  But he's dependable enough and good enough for BB.

Kicker run!

With our next pick, the Jnai Dolphins select K Connor Barth

He doesn't do kickoffs, but that's okay since our punter is more than capable. His FG% dropped this year, but mainly due to 3 misses outside of 50 yards. He's been a consistent performer for the Bucs (when looking at just field goals, PFF ranks him in the top 3 the past 2 seasons) and we're happy he helps complete our above average special teams unit.

Just got pulled into a meeting, can someone PM SPDougie for me?  Edit: Just sent him one

Has consistently been one of the better punters in the NFL for a while now and that is good enough for me.

I'm unfortunately here still, and if I am late to the Celts because of these non-stop phone calls I am going to murder someone.

Stephen Gostkowski, K, New England.

KFP and SMU pm'ed.

Edit-just saw he was taken a few picks above [Buckholtz]

I'll take Zoltan.  If he's been taken already just skip me I'll jump in later.

Gould is liked by pff and fo.

We now have solidly above average kicking spwcialists in our punter and kicker. For a team that might struggle with offense we're fortunate to have Anger and Gould. Easily top 10 material at their positions if not top 5.
