The Bears select P Brian Moorman.

The Steelers brought him in, and I'm at the tail end of the P crop anyways, so I'll take a flier on the accomplished Moorman.

The Bears won't be punting much in any case.

Sorry for the delay guys, Chargers select:

Luke Stocker, TE

He's slot in as my #2 TE and will be much more of a blocker than Myers.  He was a decent receiving TE in college and will get a chance now taking over the starting job in Tampa.

With their last pick in the 2013 RealFantasy Pigskin Draft the San Francisco 49ers select:

C, Dominic Raiola

Taking a center in the last round was a scary thought a few rounds ago but he's been on the top of our list for the past 6+ rounds so we're happy he's still here.

There were only a few choices at C left, albeit a few pretty good options. At least 6 guys that graded above a 5.0 last year by PFFs standards. The problem is most of them will be either fighting for the starting job or are already locked into the backup spot. Though they would be good options on my team, I find it hard to argue that my line is top notch when one of my players can't even start in the NFL.

Raiola, by all reports, will be playing his last year in the NFL. If it's anything like the last two years we'll be happy to have him as our center. He graded out as the 6th best Pass Blocking center last year, and was 3rd overall the year before. He's also had a C on his chest for at least 5+ years.

I think adding him to our O-Line gives us one of the better ones in this draft. Monroe, Levitre, Raiola, Nwaneri, and Watson (our only question mark) give us a great line for 2013 and other than Raiola for hopefully plenty of years to come.

It's been a blast gentleman.

Much thanks to Super Nomario for keeping the trains running on time and to whoever has been updating the chart (DoDM, Phragle?).  I've been swamped.

I've been filling in these last few rounds but there was a ton of help from others before that. Everyone involved has been tremendous. The fact that we haven't lost anyone and only had a few skips at the end speaks volumes. Having 32 people all involved for 3 months or so is not an easy task.

edit: Also I'll be out of town until Sunday so the chart may need some work, if not I'll fill it in when I get back.

Bottom line:

Muth thinks Lane Johnson and Fluker excel at run blocking. Both have some flaws in pass protection. Johnson's may be correctable and he benefits from his athleticism. Fluker's very well may be fatal.

Why you gotta be like that man?

In all seriousness, I'd like to echo the others on how awesome this has been and give thanks to those who put in the effort to keep everything updated and the process moving along.  I've learned a lot already, and I'm looking forward towards the post draft analysis and discussion.  On that note - I'll be on vacation for 2 weeks starting Monday, so I'll offer my own thoughts on my team when I get back, but please feel free to critique in my absence.

The LA Rams select K Shaun Suisham.

Suisham has had really solid PFF numbers the last two years with the Steelers. It's my last pick. Not doing too much research at this point. I generally think that kickers have ridiculous variability and don't buy that there's a crapton of skill measureable in game play. We'll see how it goes.

LOL GIANTS SELECT ... Nick Harris, P

Last year he sucked, I am hoping for a better season. That's my logic here.

Can you feel it?

Can you feel the storm brewing in the east?

The Karachi Jags have saved the best for last, installing the final piece of the puzzle, the X factor, the sparkplug, the font front which untold power will flow forth.

We are proud to select the greatest, blackest otaku, BRENNAN WILLIAMS, RT

He likes anime and shit. He trips on /sp/. He's the hero Karachi needs, and the one we deserve.

Just wanted to mention that I'll be out of the country for a few days and probably won't be around when the draft ends.  Thanks to everyone for an awesome draft.  I learned a ton and am looking forward to going forward with this thing.  We'll do a poll in a week or so regarding the various options that were discussed in the other thread.

The New England Patriots select Henry Hynoski, FB

In his second year after being undrafted out of Pitt, the "Hynocerus" has become one of the best lead blockers in the league while also showing he can be formidable in pass protection. He's shown limited productivity as a rusher and as a safety valve in the passing game, but has done well when given the opportunity. The 6'1" 266 lb 24 year old is going to help out my young offensive line, my QB, and my RB's by providing an extra presence in my blocking scheme. Oh, and he can hurdle motherfuckers. I think he's a great addition to my young team and he fits perfectly with my offense.

This has been great. I've had a lot of fun researching players and building a model for what I'd like to see in a football franchise. I really like my team and I'm looking forward to continuing with this exercise.

See the OP ... you can't draft a second QB:

1. The FB slot on offense should be considered an offensive skill position utility player - you can fill this position with RB, WR, TE, or FB.

Sorry about that, completely forgot about that stip.

SN wants David Akers
Thanks, here's my writeup:

K David Akers, Detroit

Let's not sugar-coat it; Akers was very shaky in 2012. His 69% field goal percentage was 31st in the NFL, and the coaching staff clearly lost faith in him down the stretch (even bringing in kicking competition during the playoffs). But Akers was a Pro Bowler and a first-team All-Pro in 2011, when he was maybe the best kicker in the game. He had hernia surgery before the season and was dealing with issues during the year, so his struggles might go away. Or not, the dude is 38. He's just keeping the spot warm for Chris Boswell anyway.

Lots of great punters to choose from. Got to do the right thing. Build for the future.

With their final pick, the San Quentin Raiders reach across the aisle to select...

Punter, Tim Tebow

Fuck that. We don't punt. We don't carry a punter. Every Coliseum needs a Christian among the Lions... and with a little luck, Timmy will develop a nasty drug habit and a case of the clap under our tutelage. We're going to coach him up.

I'd argue against this, but Al Davis will just tell me he's taken shits older than I am and who the fuck am I to tell him about football... So, fuck it. Funny he end's up being Mr. Irrelevant in this draft... <insert joke here>

Should we have a deadline to get all the picks in? I don't really mind that a few people have skipped over to come back to this at some point, but there is definitely an advantage to wait as long as possible to get your pick in. Most people left aren't really fighting anyone else over a position so waiting on news and position battles at this point could go a long way. I know a couple of the Cs I was looking at were all in positional battles.

Not a huge deal just something I thought we might need to address.

Another option is to pick a date sooner than later on which we will randomize the order and begin the 5 round supplemental draft.

If they dont pick by then they risk losing out on priority free agents

You better lawyer up if you think you're changing the rules now.
