Yohan’s release point has over 7 ft. of extension, which is elite.

Looks like reverse splits this year, actually. 3.68 xFIP vs. LHB (and no home runs allowed) this year and 4.88 vs. RHB.

Nice! Thanks for sharing!

Off topic question... How do I become a lifetime member here? I've been here since 2005 so just wondering haha.
There is a class you have to take. When I took it, it was 3 months, I think it's 4 now. The final exam is part written/part oral, but they'll probably let you do that via Zoom these days. I had to fly to Boston.

If you provide enough quality content to be noticed by the powers that be or your fellow posters, you get invited to be a 'SOSH member' and from there I think lifetime is indeed something you buy. We probably should have relegation like in UK football too. :)

Is Yohan Ramirez spanish for Mike Morgan? asking for a friend.
Yohan’s last full year in the minors look like Nolan Ryan in terms of K:BB. 106 IP with 74 BB(!) and 158 K(!!). Only 5 HR and 64 hits allowed.

The Yaz MM thing is cool, but I’m at that age where Morgan will always be the guy who somehow threw a handful of scoreless innings in the 2001 World Series.

Wait, so am I the only one who had to take the class?

Definitely Johnny Pesky. His last year coaching 1st base before becoming the hitting coach (Tommy Harper took over at 1st). Sox has no hitting coach before 1980.

If you want to go down memory lane, check this list out.
Sox coaches over the years
That was fun.

Longest serving Pitching Coach: Bill Fischer

Longest serving Hitting Coach: Dave Magadan and Jim Rice tied

I was a lifetime member, and that title disappeared.

Apparently I died and didn't know it.
