I envision the NHL schedule makers as 4-5 guys in Leafs jerseys sticking magnets on a calendar like you would do in a fantasy draft to slot players on teams in 2003, with the Bruins being the team of the guy that had something come up and couldn’t make it that night.

So many nights off is really annoying.
It's even more annoying when they only play the same nights that the Celtics play. That seems to have happened a lot already this year.
When they both play at the same time, you can only watch one or the other live, and then usually both teams will be off the next night, or even several more.
The worst is when both the Bruins and Celtics lose on the same night.
Black Wednesday, when they both lost AND the Red Sox lost a playoff game at the same time, was a real nadir.

I still think my schedule reform is a good idea:

2-3-2 (7) vs the other 7 teams in your division = 49.
2-2 (4) vs 8 teams in one other division = 32. The division rotates through a 3 year cycle.
1 outdoor game at a neutral location (like the Tahoe game). Split these 16 games into 2 8-game blocks at neutral locations, one in the US, one in Canada. Match the teams 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 based on the prior year's point percentage.

Way less travel, way more rivalry.

Swayman is in net tonight. As far as I can tell, no other changes. Free Jack.

Marchand - Bergveron - Pastrnak
Hall - Coyle - Smith
DeBrusk - Haula - Lazar
Frederic - Nosek - Kuhlman

Forbort - McAvoy
Reilly - Carlo
Grzelyck - Clifton

The Internet is a funny place sometimes. It's almost like there's places to go to see the dates of the games!
(kidding, I'll put dates on there if you guys want. I just put the thread up yesterday so I wouldn't forget).

Oh my tongue was firmly in cheek. It’s just insane this early schedule. Should have made a joke about putting years on them.

They have another 5-day break coming up in 2 weeks. They play the Habs 11/14 and then are off until 11/20.

The Celtics started 5 days after the Bruins and have played more games already (8 to 7).

Not only that, but they have 2 sets of back to back's between that week off. 13th at NJ, 14th vs. MTL. Off from 15-19. 20th at Flyers, 21st vs. Calgary. The schedule makes no sense at all.

I need this tonight. In day billion (9) of Covid quarantine and the self isolation and boredom is killing me. Thankfully I’m vaccinated so the virus is not.

This has been their best all around game of the season. Its fitting that Bergy has 3 PP goals. So gratifying!

Bergy and hats are a good combo

Shots are 26-9 B's after two. That's only a little lopsided.

Not able to watch here but the 5v5 analytics look good and seems like they deserve the penalty ratio they're getting. Keep it up.

I literally think it is possible to place a hula hoop on the ice and have it contain the location of all 3 shots for Bergeron's PP goals. All 3 were between the middle hashes and all 3 went near-side past the goalie. That was a clinic.

Moving the Line
Prior Bruins with 3 or more PPG, 4 or more total goals, single game:

-Dave Andreychuk, 10/28/1999
-Phil Esposito, 10/15/1967 (also got 3 PPG in 2 periods)
