Thanks for posting the link. I'm not sure mine went through as it didn't seem to "do" anything when I clicked on the amount. We'll see.
Great gesture.Best $10 I’ll ever spend. Now’s as good a time as any to change an avatar. He’ll be missed tremendously on this board. Condolences to his family and anyone else who was fortunate enough to know him.

His wife is aware. He spoke very fondly of the people he interacted with here and with a number of us in the “real” world.Incredible to be so upset at the passing of a person you have never met in person, but only interacted with online. He was one of the good guys. I hope somehow his family and especially his son and wife work there way thru this. I also hope in some way form or fashion, someone/anyone here who does know the family, will let them know about this thread, as I think it might bring great joy and comfort to be able to see how many people were touched by a Man that many of us only knew from a sports board.
Please someone with the ability or knowledge make it happen. Thank You.
I received an email confirmation shortly after donating.Just donated (I think). Like ITP, I hope it went through.
Make sure you fill in all of the required fields. I had to go back and include my cell phone # before it took my payment. I too got a confirmation email.Just donated (I think). Like ITP, I hope it went through.
Definitely not my intention, but I get it. I don’t want to be insensitive. If folks think I should, I will definitely change it back. That avatar threw me when I was scrolling down.
Oh, I wasn’t implying anything like that. I think it’s a great picture to keep around.Definitely not my intention, but I get it. I don’t want to be insensitive. If folks think I should, I will definitely change it back.
Might be cool to see that avatar on many profiles for Opening Day. We can change them back after that.Definitely not my intention, but I get it. I don’t want to be insensitive. If folks think I should, I will definitely change it back.

Assuming the mention isn’t so long as to get SoSH in copyright trouble, any chance you could share that portion here for non-subscribers?Pete Abe gave him a mention in this weekend's notes column.

Peter Abraham in the Globe said:Condolences to the family and many friends of Dr. Christopher Geary, who passed away this month at the age of 52. Geary was a fixture at Fenway Park alongside his son, Kellan, and a frequent source of wisdom — and good humor — on orthopedic questions for both the Globe and the larger baseball community
Heartbroken. Chris was incredibly bright, talented, insightful, and funny. He was a favorite speaker at many SaberSeminars and a frequent source of knowledge on sports injuries. But mostly he was an amazing dad who loved sending pictures of time spent with his son at Fenway.
He'll be missed a lot by many. Condolences to his family and many friends. May his memory be a blessing.
