I will also add that I could be completely wrong because I work for county government in Oregon and this has already been a long week.

Bruins had 86% expected goals tonight at 5x5. Has to be their best performance of the season in that regard. 34-22 scoring chances advantage too, 30-13 over the first 3 periods. Just a dominating performance.

Been unable to catch games lately which makes me sad, but the highlights from this one make me happy. Having a 7-9 point lead with 15 games left is huge. Destroy the Panthers and their playoff hopes on Thursday.

Just seeing the box score. Would not have bet on this being a 2-1 game or the Bruins holding Tampa to so few shots.

The last 15 minutes were gut wrenching. I think the Bruins possessed the puck in the offensive zone for maybe a minute total.

FWIS, I don’t think it’s a bad idea.
I’d like to see Halak get more than half of the starts the reminder of the regular season, a 10-6 split, to keep Rask fresh. In the playoffs it’s Rask’s crease unless he really sucks or gets hurt. They’ll go as far as he takes them.

It’s not conventional, and there is no way they do it, but the 55/45 split has led to the best goalie tandem in the league. They both play better with rest.

I don’t expect them to do, they’ll ride Rask. But I think sometime soon somebody is going to do it.

How much of that is due to the 55/45 split they have going? They have the best goaltending tandem in hockey, part of that is due to the lighter work load.

Again, I don’t think or expect them to do it. I just don’t think it is an outlandish suggestion.

They both have been terrific again this year and rest is a big part of it. Someone is definitely going to go with a 2 headed goalie monster in the playoffs at some point going forward.
