What about the Dolphins???? For us Baby Boomers we despised them. Pats didn't win in Miami form 1970 until the AFC Title game in 85 season. Giants? Football right? Why the hate for them over the Jets? (Who are pathetic) Because they beat our team in 2 Super Bowls? Just curious.
The New York Football Giants.

And yes, because of the two Super Bowl wins, one of which ruined the perfect season.

I hate the Dolphins for sure, but not anymore than the 5 I listed.

My top Disdain(I try not to say hate, lol) 1A. MFY. 1B Lakers. 2. Habs. 3. Cowboys(I live in Philly area so Eagles are my NFC team)4. Fins. Then it's kind of to new like the Steelers because of the fans, even some around here. I don't really dislike the Colts, just find them and the fans kind of annoying. And those who said Peyton was overrated and a choker are stupid. He is one of the greatest. The Broncos a little bit because they had our number a few times but that has faded. And the Jets??? They're just not so good most of the time(I'm being nice) I can't really dislike them. However, if the Steelers played the Dolphins I would probably root for the Fins because I'm sick of the Steelers and didn't like Big Ben.

I can't work up a hate for the Steelers, the Patriots beat them in the playoffs 4 times on their way to a Super Bowl, twice in Pittsburg, twice in Foxboro, three times in the AFCCG. As Brady and Bruschi said in Man in the Arena part 3, that 2005 AFCCG win was their favorite non Super Bowl win ever.

Mine too.

That Steelers team was 15-1, had ended the long Patriots regular season winning streak and they went into Pittsburg and pummeled that team.

The Patriots are 1-4 in the playoffs vs Denver, twice losing in the AFCCG in Denver, the first one, Denver was a wagon, they then got demolished by Seattle in the Super Bowl, but the second one.............they lost to the corpse of Peyton Manning thanks to losing in Denver in OT, at the Jets and at Miami to close out the season, had they won any of those three games, they would have hosted the AFCCG, they lost 20-18 and despite being manhandled by the Broncos defense/Von Miller, they lost thanks to a missed PAT, otherwise, that game goes to OT and who knows what happens.

I hate Denver; always have, always will.

The Jets; outside of Parcells stiffing the Patriots in the Super Bowl vs Green Bay and then going to the Jets and two years with Rex Ryan performing miracles, they've been a laughing stock.

Yes that was as close to any Super Bowl victory. Even the OT one over the Chiefs. The best IMO and my lifetime, Pats title game was beating the Fins in Miami in the 85 Title game. That was almost as good as the Red Sox Impossible Dream Pennant clincher in 67. We knew the Bears would trounce us, but that was our Super Bowl in many ways. And the Pats hadn't won in Miami since the 69 season.

It was tremendous.

Oh I would have loved to have been at the Toilet Bowl That afternoon, or early evening.
It was an awesome experience from start to finish.

we flew down on a now defunct airline, I think they were called Kamikaze International, I was wondering why they gave us parachutes upon take off, but what would you expect for 49.95........round trip.

We parked in some guys back yard for 20.00, we had two vans full of Patriots fans, Mosi's Mooses came rolling in in an RV, it was beyond comical, we had a ball.

The Dolphins fans were....................something else, all the cursing, spitting, screaming, throwing bottles and cans at us was a bit much; and those were the women.....................

The Canadians and the Yankees are The Beatles and The Rolling Stones to Boston fans, and every other team is The Dave Clark Five.

As a kid growing up in Montreal, playing hockey in the mid 70's, Lafleur was my original sports idol. It was a different era of hockey, and there was room for players to play a game of higher skill and grace. He defined that style, and to the extent that this was the style I grew up with, I find it frustrating that the evolution of the game, in my view, has left much less space for this style of play. I don't watch nearly as much hockey as I used to. I can appreciate the skill level and speed of the current stars, but the game somehow isn't as exciting to me.

In some ways, I think this has been mirrored over time in basketball as well. I lost interest in the NBA in the 90's and early 00's, when it felt like there was no room on the court, and the style of play became too physical. Over the last 10-15 years, as the game has moved outside and opened up, I find it exciting to watch again. I wish the NHL would go to international ice, or at least a good chunk larger, to open up more space for players to play like Lafleur

Correct Jack. That was definitely true in our youth and our teens. But now the Lakers are Right up there. Led Zeppelin?? Funny that you mention The Dave Clark Five. In the first two years of the British Invasion, they actually had more top 20 hits then the Stones, 64 and 65. But after that it was all Stones and I think the Dave Clark Five broke up in the late 60's. I could be wrong on the time of their breakup.

I'm actually disappointed with the NBA for becoming an mostly 3 point shooting game. I still watch it, don't get me wrong. I would like to see college basketball, then the NBA get rid of the 3 point shot for a season or two, just to try to improve the shooting game. Even Gus Johnson a basketball maven said in the tourney that Steph Curry is ruining the game with his crazy far 3 point shots. Young kids are getting to 3 happy trying to copy him.

The tribute was pretty incredible. 7 minutes of tribute / video / song. The last 10 min as others have mentioned is purely the crowd standing, cheering, and chanting his name.

RIP to a great guy and legend. Also, the Habs haven’t won shit in 29 years.

He was terrifying. That power play, with him floating around looking for a shot was deadly-and those Habs teams, agreed, best ever.
