I wasn't fully sold on the "SAS is Horny" bit when it started, but man has it become must-listen radio. Just goes to show you how symbiotic these two are when they're on - it's a good concept by Rich made exceptional by Fred.

I was really hoping they weren't going to spend hours on the Jack Jones gun talk. There's nothing left to say, it's just repeating the same thing over and over again.

One thing I appreciate about T&R is that they actually discuss the Red Sox, and not just to pile on or mock them when they're struggling. There's obviously plenty of legitimate debate to be had around the construction and trajectory of the organization, and I think they've done a nice job of being appropriately critical without resorting to the dismissive/too-cool-for-school attitude of many local radio people. Having Dan Roche as a regular guest certainly helps, as Roche is earnest and informed. They have a good rapport with him as "the positive guy."

There’s really not a ton of things to talk about really. It’s basically that and the kid who threw the ball back (which I was finished with as soon as they showed the aftermath. Everything after that is just overkill). Not an exciting time for sports right now

Ryan Johnson is a great fit for that 3rd chair in my opinion. Does not step on bits, only interjects if he has a point or something to add. Has knowledge of other sports outside of hockey, his sweet spot. I am biased - I can remember him calling Lowell Lockmonsters hockey games when they were in the AHL years ago.

He’s great. And he was the best 2nd chair when it was the Rich show for a while.

Agreed with you both, he's been a great fit for the show.

Fred wouldn't care if his 15 year old son was at someone's house and the father was walking around naked / without pants?

There was a quick throwaway statement in the 8 o'clock hour, and I am probably reading into it too much. The discussion was around using public bathrooms and lead to Fred talking about how he will usually wait a few years before farting in front of someone that he is in a relationship with, or living with.

At this point, Rich said "Oh, is that what I have to look forward to?" Is he saying Fred may be moving in with Rich? Would be hilarious if true.

Yeah that was really, really weird.
He then said his son sees him naked and it’s not weird.

If I saw my dad naked when I was 15 I’d probably want to kill myself.

I get the “it’s just like a locker room” except it’s not a locker room and I’d prefer old guys in the locker room don’t swing their cocks around anyways.

Yeah there's a line when some guy's nakedness in the locker room is measured in minutes rather than seconds that it becomes really awkward. And maybe I'm just used to drop in visitors with my MIL on home hospice going on 2 years now, but if I'm outside the bedroom it is at least boxers at all times. There are separate rooms in the home for a reason, and once you are out in the living areas nude it is a gateway to putting a bare ass on one of the chairs or sofa. No bueno!

I can't recall ever seeing adults naked while at anyone's house. That whole line of conversation was so bizarre to me.

My kids' friends are always at my house and I wouldn't ever consider walking around naked. Hell, even if there weren't other peoples' kids in my house I wouldn't do it.

Id expect any parent to either call the parents or the police if you heard an adult was naked when kids were around.

I heard part of the interview while driving around. Irsay was essentially name dropping artists he knows and rambling about the different kinds of memorabilia that he has bought. He is the type of guy that you just let loose because he will say wild stuff and be "unintentionally funny". Some highlights from the couple of minutes I heard:

- he bought jailhouse letter from Charles Manson
- paid 3 million dollars for a book?
- Friends with Hunter S Thompson

Such an awesome interview and why they can never break this shit up! You can’t duplicate this stuff. I can’t imagine how much they were laughing with mics off.

The Irsay interview was fantastic. And I love that T&R treated it seriously and made it fun. Just great all around.

Absolutely. And they seemed like they genuinely enjoyed talking to him too. Would be cool if they could get him back on again sometime

He’s not blowing it on soda can trips to look at the Titanic…. Advantage Irsay!

He’s blowing it on banners, blow, and playing tunes!
Exactly. Advantage Irsay x2! Who among us wouldn’t spend a little money frivolously on something that brought us some joy? I can say for sure I would love to own that Prince guitar

Listening to the Irsay interview (they replayed it this morning) kind of makes me want to go see the show.

Am I the only one who’s unimpressed with these AI clips Rich keeps playing? That Cobain clip sounds nothing like him
I tend to agree. It’s a very generic grunge voice.

I wonder how much angst Rich has about AI stuff coming for on-air radio talent. I’d take an AI Wallach over actual Wallach right now. [count it]

If it’s AI why settle for Wallach? Let’s shoot for the stars and get an AI Crash!
