That’s funny - @toucherandrich is still “abandoned”, but Rich switched to @touchernrich.
While I’m here, I’m gonna vent about a dumb Fred tic. He’ll be interviewing a good guy like Socci or Giardi, doing his thing where he pushes against their innate niceness with his innate humor / weirdness / bitterness. Tried and true, almost always makes things entertaining. But invariably it’ll be time to wrap the interview, and he always takes the last word. And that last word is like the most extreme version of whatever he was playing around with. So like:
“Mike, the Pats are really bad.”
“They’ve got a lot to work on, Fred.”
“How can you see any positives?”
“There are a few things. Hopefully they can build on them.”
“Well, they suck and honestly the Patriots really are just terrible, terrible people. Just horrible. OK Mike Giardi, read him in the…” /end interview
I guess it’s “funny” but unlike most things on the show it seems very shock-jocky. I want to hear the guests through a T&R lens but it gets very editorial if Fred doesn’t like what he’s hearing.
