Czarnik was a college free agent out of Miami whose signing flew a little under the radar. 4 Year player at Miami, 2 year captain and former Hobey Baker finalist. Right shot centerman. The primary reason it for slipping through the draft is his size. He's currently listed at 5'9 161. He was around a point per game player all 4 years at Miami, although his goal scoring dropped this year.

I caught a P Bruins game this weekend and came away very impressed. He immediately reminded me of Marchand when he first showed up in Providence (although Czarnik is a few years older than Marchand when he made his debut in the AHL). Great skater, good speed, with strong puck possession skills. Like Marchand, he plays with a lot of confidence and plays a lot bigger than his size. The game was against Manchester, who has size all over the roster including Biz Nasty. He looked absolutely fearless despite it only being his 1st week in the league. This clip shows some of the puck skills and is similar to a shift he had for the baby B's. https://youtu.be/WRRlPojwwj4

Well that went well. Bruins released him from this ATO this afternoon along with Colby Cave (although both are still under ELC's and presumably will be back for camp).
