The single was a well placed grounder and the double play wasn't hit that hard, so not sure what you're talking about.
Gameday shows a 110 mph single, a 100 mph double play ball, and a 98 mph lineout to medium deep RF. That’s all very hard contact

Yeah, I checked the exit velo and edited it. Still think that's kind of unfair - he got two grounders, doesn't really matter if they were hit hard straight into the ground. Third out, fine.

Yeah. The only thing I saw from Holmes that I didn't like was that he might be having more problems finding the strike zone. But he was mostly ok with that.

I'm shocked if the double play ball was really hit that hard. He wasn't giving up soft contact, but it didn't seem too bad in general.

It’s good that he was able to induce 2 grounders for sure. To me his lack of reliable command makes him too much of a wild card for high leverage spots

Bader with 5 RBIs in this series so far, the rest of the team with a combined 2.

Whew, big win, good job bullpen!! Ian Hamilton with the tough save, he is a great pickup so far.

Tampa hasn’t covered themselves with glory or anything. They won on a super close call yesterday after blowing a lead, then blew another

Well, Tampa is 27-7. If this is what a bad spell looks like for them, I'd be pretty damn happy if I was a fan.

Right now they look pretty balanced and strong offensively and with their pitching. Not sure what the numbers say defensively, but if that is their biggest weakness, I think they're going to be tough all season.

They should be adding Glasnow soon, they are going to win well over 100 games this year IMO.

They have beaten the piss out of bad/mediocre teams and played pretty even against good teams. Early schedule was super soft, have a 6 week run of very good teams now, though. Bullpen has been a little shaky lately. I’m not ready to put them down for 100 yet.

Good try, though, abbey.

They are great, of course. 27-7 is amazing. Just played a couple of mediocre games is all.
I can think of a few spectacular first-half teams that lost incentive with a comfortable lead and played .500 ball the final two months. 1958 Yankees and 2022 Yankees did it. One of them won it all.

I'm hoping that putting Hicks into the lineup these last two days is just them giving him one last chance. This can't continue.

So, who is the move for Judge? I suppose Bauers is the easy answer, though most Yankees fans I know want Hicks cut.
Bauers can't be optioned so they'd lose him, I'm assuming Peraza will go down since they don't play him anyway.

Nick Ramirez also got sent down but probably a separate move, maybe Weissert back up.

Strange, he has been bad in AAA recently after a promising start.

Deivi with the 'save', think he'll go back down now. Colten Brewer back up? They need a 40 man spot but they can put Loaisiga on the 60 day IL.

Games against OAK this year are very stressful in a way, because especially in the AL East, you have to get that sweep and that's not always so easy. It was pretty easy this series though.

Nice to see that good Domingo German showed up to pitch this year.
If they can get Severino and Rodon to bump Brito and Schmidt, I think they can get on a roll. The offense will come, possibly sparked by a 20 year old Martian.

Yep, he's on my fantasy team, too, and I have to carry another outfielder because of said benching.
He is incredible and maybe the Rays are smarter than we are (they are) and they are just putting him in matchups where they know he is going to succeed based on metrics, but man, every time he plays he does something great. So it’s frustrating to see him sitting against mediocre right handers.

They have been managing him very tightly since he flopped in what was expected to be his breakout rookie season last year, but at some point, if he keeps playing like this, they will need to loosen the reins. He is just tearing shit up right now.

LOL; Lowe's not playing today! Ugh. Oh well.
