Wow, giving up Manaea for a rental.  Great job by Beane.  The Royals are going for it, but Manaea is too much to give up.  It looks like a seller's market so far.
 
Based on some of Billy Beane's recent comments, it sounds like the A's might enter a complete rebuild following the Houston Astros model/example.

Omar Infante is "hitting" 230/244/316. Zobrist is a big upgrade.
 
Manaea is a steep price to pay for a two-month rental, but Dayton Moore has a good track record of not getting burned by the young guys he trades away, Jake Odorizzi aside.
