Yes. Tom Brady's placebo effect on me might be quite good. I was criticizing Guerrero in one way but complimenting him in another. A good placebo effect at the right time in the right client/patient can be a skill.
Back to taking the snap over center vs. shotgun snaps, tried to think of a precedent of a quarterback getting a hand injury before a critical game and having to change up the approach. Couldn’t think of any. He could have his throwing hand below his left hand, or have his hands side by side, but the unfamiliarity of either would probably increase the chance of bad exchanges a ton. Also, no matter what he does with his hands, it’s going to be a jarring thing. Play action, most of the running game, QB sneaks, all require Brady over center. Maybe they can install the single wing post haste. It is Belichick we have coaching. Just hope his thumb holds together on Sunday.
Would be great to win even with a handicap like this.

As Belichick leads, so does the team follow. I think @dynomite put it best when he imagined how the team that traveled the storm of having a serial murderer in their midst would be thrown by some Steeler shit.
We don’t know their storm, but we know that which being their fans has swept over us. And we know the joys that attend having stuck through them.
As the team follows Coach’s lead through these storms, so too do we follow their lead, if only in the throes of the media nonsense.
I’ve never felt closer to the team than this thread. Which is stupid. And glorious.

I’m not as hooked in to things as i’d prefer this week — it the assumption that “contusion needing stitches” has nothing to do with “possible ligament tear”? is the latter still on the table?

Am I correct in assuming that with his thumb injury, that if gripping the ball is an issue, it would benefit him if they could somehow make the football a bit softer?
