I was interested to hear Francesa mention on two different appearances on Simmons's podcast that Scar has long been desired as a HC. He didn't mention any specific instances, but he did say that teams knew that he loved both his life in NE and his role with the Pats too much to want to move. It's not really surprising, I suppose, considering the respect he has throughout the game.

Needless to say, this is excellent news.

Thank the maker. This guy has to be one of the greatest teachers of line-play techniques out there. I think he turned Cannon from turnstile to a second team all-pro (and the back ups performed reasonably competently when he got hurt), and clearly coached up this past year’s unit to a pretty high level.

It's fitting that this thread shows up right above unheralded moments in great design on the side bar. I feel like Scar didn't get the recognition he deserved until the last 5+ years.

Man, I wish I could say I did that on purpose.

I bet that's how Scar would message board... all higher order meta shit that's beyond me.

If I could choose Scar coming back or any Pats FA re-upping, I'd probably go with Scar.

That might change if Gronk were an FA, though.
