Steven Wright makes his first start tonight in place of Rubby de la Rosa.

They also could have given the start to Workman.  Is this decision being driven more by interest in Wright as a starter or limiting the innings of Rubby and Brandon?

I would have liked to see Barnes get a start in one of these games.  Curious to see how he looks over more than just a couple of innings.

Jeter said he'd play a little bit in this series, but not at SS.  Maybe he gets an inning in CF or tries out his cutter pitching an inning.  I can dream right?

Sox did something interesting today, they sold a bunch of the upper rows of the triangle in CF.  You know, the seats that are blocked off to provide a better "batter's eye" for the hitters so they can see the pitch coming towards them NOT be coming from a sea of white shirts.  I talked to one of the security guys who told me (seemingly like he knew) that they "checked it out and it was safe for the hitters".

Glad no one got beaned today.  Although it would have been ironic if Jeter had gotten hit if they did this to maximize ticket sales in his final weekend.
