He's also the captain of the MikeMikeMike! fantasy team. Is it similarly a fantasy to think the Bruins would have interest in him?

Bob out of retirement and dropping bombs around.

I have no idea how the Bruins could ever do it but by all means ask.

Yeah, it'd have to be McAvoy or Pastrnak to start.

Worth making the phone call though to see if Buffalo is going to do something really stupid.

I could never imagine a scenario where a GM that works for Terry Pagula would be allowed to trade its best player to a team owned by Jeremy Jacobs, but Don Sweeney still should make the phone call and we should be happy that he apparently did.

The Rangers definitely have the ammunition to get a deal done with Buffalo with Kakko and LaFreniere.

Rangers are buying Lundqvist out tomorrow.

The buyout tab for NYR is over $13 million in dead cap space next season between Lundqvist, Shattenkirk, Girardi and Ryan Spooner. They also have Brad Richards on as a compliance buyout. He doesn't count against the cap, but gets paid like $1 million every year.

They also paid Detroit a 2nd round pick for the Wings to take on Marc Staal last week. They've hit the lottery jackpot but what a mess they've been cleaning up.

$13 million... wow. I haven't followed the Rangers much but ... wow. That's incredible.

Here's the official release on Lundqvist.
