Slightly OT: Is there ANY way to watch NBC Sports Boston Pre-, Half-, and Post- C's Studio Coverage out-of-market?

I live out of market. I am able to pay to watch the complete games via NBA League Pass, but for some reason they don't let me watch the halftime show, nor can I watch the pre- and post game coverage. Which I don't understand because the "product" would appear to be the games. If I am paying for that, and paying for the "Celtics My Team Channel" I don't get why I can't see "my team's coverage"?

NBC Sports Boston has a "My Team" app that shows these live apparently but, again, because I live out of area, they once again refuse to let me see them. I am a Comcast-Xfinity subscribing dinosaur so it's not like I am trying to mooch.I try to log in using Xfinity and bam, I get told "out of area go away".

I don't have any family left in Boston who i can try to get a login from.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to make this happen? I've had rare but occasional success in the "stream" world, but does anyone know a reliable way to watch C's coverage from pre- through post game?

Ha, this exact thing has frustrated me for years out of market. I don't want to pirate, nor do I, but I haven't found any alternative for any of the Celtics, Red Sox, or Bruins.

There is the Cord Cutter thread in Tech sub-forum with some of this discussion. Have you tried the NBC Sports app? Are you subscribed to Comcast in the NE market? IF so, you can authenticate and watch using the NBC Sports app

Yes I have tried the app, but I live out of market. So even though I am a full paying Comcast subscriber, they wont give me access to the studio shows ...

Directv has NBC Sports Boston available with the pregame shows.
I dont think DirecTV is an option for me ...we had it years ago but had terrible line of sight issues so we scrapped it. Even still tho, I remember when we had it and had NESN I never got sports pre and post game shows. Has that changed?

I guess. I haven't had directtv before this fall.

I have a different problem. Can't get the Dodgers 1 Hour replay shows (Mookie) from last year on their RSN on DTV, haven't had issue with other markets yet. (Then again, I am not really interested in others)

When I last subscribed to DirecTV, 10 years ago, I got their sports package that gave me access to nearly every RSN in the country. That let me watch every studio show on those nets, but not live events. No clue if that’s still a thing.

Sadly, you may be out of luck if you want to do this legally. I don’t understand why the out-of-market packages don’t include the pre/post game shows.

i'm willing to do it any way necessary at this point.

Same w me...I had that package. Directv would black out the games on NESN because they wanted you to get the MLB package. But they also blacked out the pre and post game shows. But those were NOT shown as part of the package. So there was basically this coverage gap that didnt make any sense. And this seems to be the same dynamic happening again. Its so annoying.

I live out of market and do not own a television. I watch all my live sports via streams. There is rarely a time where I cannot find a quality stream. My go to place these days is HERE.

He said he was looking for legal options. Thanks for stealing though, as someone who makes his living in media I really appreciate it.

I get the pre and post game Celtics and Patriots thru NBCsports via Directv in So Cal. I did not buy the Celtics package. Go figure.

Weird. I've had Driectv for almost 10 years and have been a subscriber of their sports pack from day one (it was part of my deal with my wife. If we're going to move out of NE then I still need access to all sports NE). I've never had trouble viewing pre- and postgame shows.

We havent had it in probably 12-13 years. Maybe it changed after I bailed. Either way tho, I am seeing the same dynamic here with the C's in that the league wont show the pre-game to me out of market, and NBC sports wont give me any way to get access either.

I recently cutoff Directv and have gone to youtubetv (w/NBA package). I'm going cold turkey now with pre/post game, but don't mind since Tommy is no longer with us, Scal has been barking at Abby and Perks shouting adds no value.

You can watch CLNS live on youtube post game and can watch Brad's pressers on youtube also

I'm a big Abby fan, and was one of those working Twitter to try to get her back. I'd enjoy seeing her in this new role.

Turns out I',m getting Classic Celtics blacked out and had the Grizzlies Celtics game blacked out (on NBCBSN, should have also DVR'ed the Memphis channel I guess )

So that's unfortunate. I'm at 93% full on DVR, so not going to worry about it yet.

Yup, I jinxed myself. Lost NBCB, Yes, FSSouth, FSSoutheast, whatever RSN Detroit is, for sure. Maybe others too. Still have ACCN, SECN, and NESN, so not complaining, yet. A lot of stuff to watch, still getting a good deal.
