Yeah? Why is that?

Because there was kind of a gentleman's agreement not to spoil the pick until it was announced on TV.

Maybe advertise that a little more? I had no idea. (I wasn't the one who spoiled it, but I could have been.)

There is a thread titled "spoilers", clicking on the game thread would show multiple people complaining about spoilers..... general common sense would also come into play.

I'll never understand the need for people to be "first" reporting instead of taking the extra 10 seconds to maybe think for a second about why such a thread doesn't exist.  It's a bit frustrating to watch a draft for 3 hours and get to the best part only to have someone tell you how it ends 5 minutes before you can watch it.

Yeah, but if some TV thread isn't spoiling the ending of the show but someone else starts a thread with what happened, it kinda defeats the purpose no?

Omar is dead you know?

It's like the no spoilers Game of Thrones threads. By your logic I could spoil the shit out of what happens in the books in a thread title, but it'd be cool because it wasn't in the no spoilers thread.

In the end, I don't really care, but it was a clear a lot of folks here wanted to experience the draft a certain way and it was kind of agreed on.

But someone has to be first, so good on you.

I see that now, it hasn't been updated for 9 hours so it doesn't show up on my phone unless I scroll down. So easy to see how it could happen.

If you don't want spoilers stay in that thread. It took me 5-10 minutes before starting this one, it wasn't OMG HAVE TO SPOIL AND BEAT CORSI SPAZZZZZ.

Sorry that I ruined some awesome event for you guys, but some of just want to know who the Pats picked.

Yeah, and they could have easily found that info on the internet without spoiling what everyone else thought was the protocol.

Stay in the spoiler-free thread. The rest of the internet still runs on real time.

This. I came looking for a thread about Brown when I saw he was the pick because I wanted to see the reaction. Don't want things to be spoiled? Don't leave the fucking "no spoilers" thread. It's pretty easy, the rest of us don't give a shit about your tender sensibilities and desire to wait for the godawful TV coverage to finally get there a half hour after the fact.

Except for the fact it isn't so fucking easy and there were spoilers in the fucking non-spoilers thread. You would think it would be easy right? Especially when
1. There was a separate SPOILERS GAME THREAD.
2. There were multiple posts on the first page stating NO-SPOILERS.

Thanks for trying.

Then blame the people who spoiled it in your little fortress of no-spoileritude. No one else gives a shit.

Everyone who sat through the whole draft and ignored the rest of the internet is now going to cue up Swordfish on Netflix and watch it all the way through in order to see Halle Berry's boobs.

Suggestion re: spoilers - maybe put the draft game threads in the draft subsection instead of the main Pats board? Seems foolish to not have it there.
