If a lot of colleges cancel sports going on now, will the kids get an extra year of eligibility.

small potatoes in the big picture but I feel bad for my students who are losing their season.
That depends on whether you think of them as students who happen to play sports, or as professional athletes who happen to attend some classes every now and then.

As we know, the NCAA will choose either one depending on what is more self-serving in the moment.

Ivy League is planning to seek a waiver to grant an extra year of eligibility to all spring sport athletes who just had their season canceled.

Metrowest Basketball has cancelled the remainder of the youth playoffs in MA. This is personally devastating news.

A conference call among Major League Baseball owners is scheduled soon. With the mass cancellations of sporting events around the country, MLB is facing enormous pressure to follow suit. While nothing is official, baseball is expected to have an announcement at some point soon.
