Chiefs win 31-20. Mahomes throws for 365 and is mobile enough to evade most of the pass rush. Takes two sacks.

Brady has a solid, but not spectacular performance, and Tampa needs spectacular to keep up. Throws one pick.

KC's secondary has a good game overall, Mathieu in particular.

Mahomes is the MVP.

Not covering any new ground with this post, as other posters have covered the "head says Chiefs" and "don't bet against Brady" angles. I think whichever defense plays less badly is going to win. The Bucs have shut down some pretty good QBs in these playoffs, so I think with that plus Brady's performance in the clutch, they could steal it. Plus, like most other posters, I think the Chiefs and their fans are complete trash, and the Bucs with Brady marginally less so.

35-31 Bucs. Brady mounts another legendary comeback drive. Mahomes looks great until a woozy hit in the fourth quarter, which helps seal the victory. Controversy ensues for the entire offseason, overshadowing Brady's seventh ring.

[Related question, why is nobody screaming that Mahomes recovered from his concussion suspiciously quickly? ]

Sticking with my prediction in the playoff prediction thread. 28-24 Tampa Bay wins. Brady is MVP.

KC - 34
TB - 24. Think it will be a competitive game throughout, but can see KC pulling away. Significant coaching advantage, and probably a little better overall roster, though I think that's close. And as well as Brady has played this year, I have to give Mahomes the edge. If Tom throws 2 or 3 picks in this one, I don't think they can survive that.

33-27 TB. With or without many fans, it’s a home game for TB and TB’s d line is a real mismatch for the undermanned KC o line.

Glad you're rooting for one guy who is an awful person in AB and a guy who f'd the Pats in Gronk. I get the Brady love but you're rooting AB who's an awful human being. Surprised you're not torn on rooting for Hill vs AB. I'm rooting for Tampa Bay because of TB but not for Gronk really and 100% not AB

So, Brady left and Gronk decided to take some time off. Brady is the good guy and Gronk's a bad guy because he decided to join Brady? If the Pats were playing Sunday would you not be rooting for AB to have a good game?

This has been covered here a ton but no Gronks not a bad guy but his act was old here by the end, he got pissed the Pats tried to trade him because of it, he waited to retire until the Pats were screwed in FA. Then he comes back and is all about going to Tampa Bay. I was sick of Gronk before the 2018 season but loved him on the field, which was even diminishing at that point. I 100% think Gronk is a good person but annoying.

I was hesitant on AB at first then he’s been proven to be a POS and I’m so glad he’s gone. If he was on the Pats id be rooting for them but hoping he’d have no stats and ignore him.

It is a business. None of these players owe us anything. if they want more money, or warmer weather, or a different coach, all the power to them. No one is going to question you for leaving your job for a better job with a competitor. Players come. Players go.

100% agree. Some people leave a business the right way and some wrong. Some business handle it wrong as well, a lot of the time. It’s how you leave in business, not where you go. I can root for Brady, not Gronk. One burned bridges the other didn’t, same as the business world. I don’t hate Gronk but I have non urge to root for him. I also loved what he did in NE but have moved on.

You have the order of operations wrong, though - Gronk retired and THEN Brady left. Given his importance to the Patriots offense I think it's an open question whether Brady would have left if Gronk was on the team in 2019. Probably still yes, but it's not crazy to think otherwise or to suggest that Gronk's departure factored into Brady's decision.

That said, the guy was so good for the Pats and is so goofy and harmless that I don't think I could ever really root against him.

We have no idea why Brady left, though it is a safe to assume there were several factors involved. That being said, I highly doubt that Gronk's presence alone was going to be enough for him to stay. Brady is smart enough to know that one player is not enough to make a difference, especially when Gronk (or any player) could land on the IR at any time.

It kinda doesn't matter, because Gronk's only under contract for this year because his final year tolled because of the retirement. Had he stayed in NE for 2019, he would have hit free agency last offseason, same time as Brady.

where the darn libs live
Head says KC, heart says TB. It's hard to bet against TB12, ever. Still, KC is KC and Mahomes, Kelce and HIll are who they are. And, of course, TB12 and Gronk who THEY are. I'm hoping so much that Tampa Bay wins, but I just wonder if KC's offense will be too much to handle.

And for the record: I'll root for TB12 and Gronk against every team except the Pats. Tom's my favorite non-Dominican athlete ever, and switching to an NFC team won't change anything.

Reading so many people saying a win puts Mahomes in Brady’s GOAT tier is making me want a Brady blow out so bad.

Hill blows his ACL in the tunnel would be a nice addition.

Seriously. Call me when he’s been doing it for 20 years and has at least half of Tom’s rings.

Reid’s son involved in what looks like a DUI caused crash that has a left a child in critical condition. Assistant linebacker coach Brett Reid did not accompany team on flight to Tampa.

Here
I came here to post that there is no need to worry about Mahomes being sacked because it just doesn't happen very often but then I did my homework. Rogers was actually sacked less this year yet was sacked FIVE times two weeks ago against TB. That is more than a quarter of his season total. TB's front is unbelievable. That said KC will game plan accordingly.

KC 27 TB 24. KC is just too good. Though I'll be rooting for TB12.

None of us had this really.

Even those of us who had TB and had them with a little bit of a cushion all had this as a tighter game and a game where KC would be able to put up real points.

Shows what we know.

I was scrolling through a betting site prior to the game and saw the odds for the Bucs +20 point win and had a nice sensible chuckle to my self. If only I had a time machine.
