I’m sure someone will show a drive by drive analysis proving I am off base but it seems crazy that the Niners only called 20 runs in this game.
Williams was really good. He was MVPwas there really an MVP in the game at all?
felt like 60 minutes of blah football. not tying to be jaded here.
He was great in last years AFCCG too. Real nice find for them.Williams was really good. He was MVP
Sorry—it was a reaction to the nfl screwing up what millions of people saw: a delay of game. Chief deserved it, but it’s hilarious that they can’t be bothered to get the calls right. Missed offsides, unclear TD, missed delay of game...all in the last 10 minutes of game play. Please explain?
KCKS is actually a different city, a suburb of KCMO.To be fair, Kansas City is also in Kansas. The Chiefs just don’t play on that side of the border.
Because they're dumb.I just don’t understand why SF passed so often on that next to last drive when the running game, especially the unconventional running game, was so effective.
Later for sure but I don't think he took a discount for his first major contract.Did Brady not take below market contracts to resign?
Seriously. He may or may not be a solid QB over his career, but there was some serious chronic ballwashing because he was largely a clipboard holder for Team Do Your JobI would rather listen to the Mahomes crazy talk (at least he won MVP) than listen to people call Jimmy a HoFer.
Of course it’s a different city. It’s a different state.KCKS is actually a different city, a suburb of KCMO.
I learned this during the few hours I spent in KC while driving cross country. It was about all I needed.
And they don’t win the game without him. The rely on him just running a post pattern and chucking it up when they get desperate. Happened again tonightHope he breaks both arms in the celebration
Sadly, his coach put him in position to loseI feel like Jimmy G gave us a nice sneak peak at what a SB featuring Tony Romo would have looked like
And get memorialized !I gotta say fellas, the last couple years it’s been kinda hard being a man. Was starting to feel like we couldn’t just do whatever we wanted with impunity any more.
But, this last week has been a great reminder that with a little bit of talent or money or political power, we can still get away with anything!
Feels damn good.
Hopefully, Suggs can cash in with some Clorox endorsements. And get memorialized !
Yup. I run on that 2nd down if I’m SF. That and the 3rd and 15 would be my haunting moments.Sadly, his coach put him in position to lose
the 3/15 doesn't really matter if they can control the clock on that three-and-outYup. I run on that 2nd down if I’m SF. That and the 3rd and 15 would be my haunting moments.
<nathan fillion gif> Youre too clever to be a lawyer by day, stick with your night jobHopefully, Suggs can cash in with some Clorox endorsements.
After the good run on first down, Kyle called passes, which was bad, but Jimmy G made two very poor attempts on those throws.Sadly, his coach put him in position to lose
You're my favorite poster. I never know what you're talking about. So Vinateri. A NFL 100th best mention.
Bold choice? Darrell Stingely.
That's the cost of a hundred years of the NFL.
Maybe, but DW's body of work was pretty fantastic tooThe MVP was more of a Conn Symthe type deal with the total body of work. 10 TDs this postseason and all the deficits overcome.
I always feel like his posts must funnel through some crappy translation programYou're my favorite poster. I never know what you're talking about.
The hit he took on the 3rd down run to the end zone where he fumbled seemed to be a Jeterian Narrative as well for sports mediaThe MVP was more of a Conn Symthe type deal with the total body of work. 10 TDs this postseason and all the deficits overcome.
Shanahan got too conservative and didn’t utilize Kittle nearly enough. He needs to answer for giving away the possession before the end of he half as well.Chiefs down 20-10, early 4th quarter. KC driving for a key score. Mahomes throws a terrible pass behind the receiver that gets intercepted at the SF 13...returned to the SF 20. Niners have the ball, up ten, their defense having stymied KC's vaunted offense for a little more than three quarters.
Then this:
SF: 5 plays, 17 yards, punt
KC: 10 plays, 83 yards, touchdown
SF: 3 plays, 5 yards, punt
KC: 7 plays, 65 yards, touchdown
SF: 7 plays, 27 yards, turnover on downs
KC: 2 plays, 42 yards, touchdown
SF outplays KC for over three quarters and then BAM, just like that, KC knocks the 49ers out cold.
Unreal. They did this to Houston, Tennessee, and then San Francisco. Incredibly impressive.
A lot of people thought he did the right thing at the end of the half.Shanahan got too conservative and didn’t utilize Kittle nearly enough. He needs to answer for giving away the possession before the end of he half as well.
Yeah, not a great field for MVP. but he should have gotten more votes.Probably should have been Damien Williams.
A lot of people thought he did the right thing at the end of the half.
Yup. Hell of a defense that will be quickly forgotten. I do think the defense would have struggled mightily in a hypothetical matchup with SF.FWIW (not much, I know), the Patriots' defense did the best job against KC after Mahomes returned, holding them to 23 points and 346 yards. Nobody else held them down as much as that. Denver allowed 23 points as well, but gave up 419 yards.
NE also did the best job of anyone against the Tannehill version of Tennessee as well. Holding them to just 14 points of offense and 272 yards total.
Mahomes had two interceptions and two fumbles. Fortunately for KC, they recovered both fumbles (well, one went out of bounds). But he easily could have had four turnovers today.Good game, and props to the Chiefs and Andy Reid.
Maholmes as MVP is absurd.
SF would’ve been a brutal matchup with their run game.Yup. Hell of a defense that will be quickly forgotten. I do think the defense would have struggled mightily in a hypothetical matchup with SF.
It's SOP in the NFL that the play clock hits zero, and the offense gets another 1.5 to 2 seconds to snap the ball before any delay of game flag flies.Sorry—it was a reaction to the nfl screwing up what millions of people saw: a delay of game.
