Game day

Brady’s titles have come on February: 3 1 6 1 5 3. Might as well win on the 6th again 7th for the first time!

Edit: his losses were on the 3rd (42), 4th (52), and 5th (46)

What I can’t figure. Did they draw blood? Ask for a bal test? Curious that those details aren’t in there
https://www.boston.com/sports/nfl/2021/02/06/chiefs-assistant-coach-britt-reid-car-accident-children-reportedly-injured

The officer wrote in the warrant that he observed signs of impairment and his request to draw blood from Reid, made after Reid was transported to a hospital due to stomach pain, was approved by a Jackson County Judge, the station reported.

So, so glad it's gameday. I'm not betting against TB12 today. While I did not originally pick the Bucs to win the SB at the start of the playoffs, it's apparent that TB12 is again locked in and ready to prove the doubters wrong.

The issue isn’t whether you should bet against TB12....it is whether you should bet against Reid, Mahomes and the Chiefs weapons.

It is hard not to come back to the Chiefs’ ability to go on overwhelming fast break runs as the likely difference in the game. I do love the Bucs’ pass rush, especially against the Chiefs’ tackles, but how are they sustaining it over four quarters? These games can become track meets late when those guys upfront wear down.

KC won't be shut down, but they can be limited. Cleveland limited them points-wise by being successful in the red zone and holding them to FG's instead of TD's. That's what TB has to do. There can not be the big plays that happened in the regular season. TB is also going to have to have a successful running game to limit possessions and they are going to have to get TDs instead of FGs. It's all well and good to limit possessions, but they must score.

I expect a close game and TB will get a turnover to turn the tide for the win.

LOS ANGELES - The Green Bay Packers aren’t competing in the Super Bowl this year, but "cheeseheads" still have something to celebrate.

Americans are expected to eat more than 20 million pounds of cheese during the Super Bowl on Sunday, according to Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin.

The tremendous cheese feast is enough to fill every NFL field with an enormous cheese board, before even including crackers, charcuterie or other snacks, according to the farmers group. It’s also 1.7 million wheels’ worth of cheese.
Cheesemakers prepared for a surge of sales ahead of the big game. The farmers group said that cheese sales rose 13% in 2020 to record levels amid the pandemic.

"Many of our state’s cheesemakers have added extra shifts and secured extra space to accommodate all the orders – not to mention adapt their businesses to accommodate the sudden jump in online cheese orders from consumers across the country," Kirk Scott, senior vice president of dairy company communications for Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, said in a written statement.

How many do you expect Tampa to win?
Well said; I do love a good Ricky Proehl callback all the same.

Incidentally, two titles in three years is fantastic and only 4 teams (Niners, Cowboys, Broncos, Pats) have repeated in 40 years, but I don’t recall any precedent for anointing a team after just two titles in two berths.

If KC wins tonight, then I think they are well on their way to elevated status, but still not quite there. They’re at the point Seattle was at the precipice of SB49, defending champ on its third straight great season with a ton of roster talent, a great young franchise QB, and a great coach. Seattle was and continues to be a good to very good team post-SB49, but they never quite got to Patriots/90s Cowboys/80s Niners/70s Steelers heights. The margins are so thin that just a little roster erosion here and there and a tough close loss or two, and you are just another very good to occasionally great team but not one with an all time run.

KC 30 - TB 17

Once the beer kicks in I will probably become emotionally attached to my Tommy again and spend most of the game sobbing. Hooray!

Apologies if this has been posted. Brady has been alive for all the victories in Bucs history. They went 0-14 in 1976 and he was born in 1977.

Guys on the radio today were talking about the prop bet about Brady's running yards today. I think the over/under was 0.5 yards. They were talking about hitting the over hard thinking of Brady doing a couple of keepers tonight, but I think they forgot about sacks. I just looked it up, and in his 9 previous Super Bowls Brady has either 0 yards of negative yards in 5 games.

Sacks are deducts from passing yards, not rushing yards.

If the sim is accurate about how much time Brady will be getting in the pocket, watch out.
